Hello and welcome to the Travel with Meditation podcast.
My name is Pam and I am honored to accompany you on this journey today.
Subscribe so that you don't miss anything.
Please only listen to this podcast if you are in a situation where it is safe for you to potentially fall asleep.
Going fully in the present moment is a precious gift that we can give ourselves.
I invite you to accept this gift along our journey today.
Begin by resting somewhere comfortable.
Bring your attention into your body.
When you are ready,
Close your eyes.
Feel the weight of your body on whatever you are resting on.
Take a few deep breaths.
Inhale,
Hold and exhale.
Inhale,
Hold and exhale.
Deep breathing calms your body.
Now imagine yourself moving down a smooth path with dark rock formations on both sides that are about 15 feet tall.
A light layer of snow and ice covers them.
You are in Iceland and on your way to venture into the geothermal seawater at the Blue Lagoon.
You move along this path as it turns into a wooden platform.
You are wearing sandals and a comfy bathrobe over a bathing suit.
The air is foggy and you look around at this large hot spring of bright blue water surrounded by a border of boulders.
The sky is a beautiful blue and the steam of the springs floats above it to create a relaxing atmosphere.
You see the entrance to the water.
There are railings on both sides of a gentle incline ramp.
When you are ready,
Take off your sandals.
Your feet feel cold against the ground as your warm robe seems tempting to keep on.
However,
The steam coming off of the hot springs of the Blue Lagoon isn't biting.
You take off your robe and gently place it on a railing.
When you are ready,
You move slowly down the ramp.
You enter the water gently.
While your feet feel tingly and hot at first,
You adjust to the temperature and it begins to feel just right.
The warm temperature on your feet and legs feels so good compared to your cold arms.
You continue to enter the springs until you have fully emerged up to your shoulders.
The warmth all around you feels sublime.
You find a soft rock to rest on.
You can notice the sensation of your feet on the bottom of the lagoon.
You can notice your legs against the rock.
Notice the heaviness and lightness of your limbs.
Notice your back now bring your attention into your stomach area.
If your core is tense or tight,
Allow it to relax and let go of tension.
You are warm and relaxed.
Take a deep breath.
These waters are healing and you begin to feel their effects.
Notice your arms.
Let them float in the water effortlessly.
Let the muscles of your arms completely relax.
As they float,
They feel heavy but weightless at the same time.
This is such a calming feeling.
Now let your shoulders soften and feel loose.
Your muscles feel relaxed and you feel comforted by the warmth.
Some notice your neck and throat.
Let them soften and feel relaxed.
Release the tension in your jaw.
Let the muscles in your face be soft.
Notice your eyelids.
Then notice your whole body.
Feel the cool air on your face.
It feels so lovely and it is a soothing contrast from the warm water.
It is so peaceful here.
You feel warm and comforted and deeply relaxed.
You have nowhere to be.
Just enjoy your time in the Blue Lagoon.
You can stay here as long as you wish.
When you are ready to leave the Blue Lagoon,
Imagine moving towards the ramp.
Your comfy,
Warm robe is in the same spot that you left it.
You gently move your way up the ramp and the cool air feels refreshing.
You put on your robe and it feels like a warm hug.
If you would like to fall asleep,
Gently stop listening now.
If you are ready to return to your day,
Take one more deep breath.
Be aware of your whole body as best as you can and feel how relaxed and calm it is.
Remember that you can always go back to this feeling of calm and relaxation.
Now take a deep breath and when you are ready,
You can open your eyes,
Feeling refreshed and relaxed.
All of it.
