The Kanromon could be translated as the gate of sweet nectar. It is a sequence of verses and dharanis used to ritually feed hungry ghosts. This sutra is commonly chanted in Soto Zen monasteries across Japan and the west. Some of the syllables in the chant should be chanted slower than others, resulting in a very colourful chanting dynamic. Chanted by Tom van Dijk, who spent over 5 years in a Japanese Zen monastery.
