This guided visualization journeys along a path of discovery and curiosity. This practice is an ideal practice for a gentle reset anytime during the day. Feel free to extend this practice by taking a few minutes to journal which choices you made, or what came up for you during the practice. I'd love to hear from you.

Transcript

This practice is a guided visualization and will begin by sitting in a relaxed position with the eyes closed or the gaze soft.

Allow the feet to rest firmly on the ground and begin to find a place of silence and stillness.

If at any point during the practice you need to move or shift positions,

That's okay.

We'll shift the awareness to the natural flow of the inhale and the natural flow of the exhale.

There's no force or pressure,

Just become aware of the natural rhythm of breathing,

The natural flow of the inhale and the natural flow of the exhale.

Begin by visualizing yourself standing along a path and begin to notice in as much detail as possible is the path straight or is it narrow?

Is it a wide path?

Is it a single-lane path or perhaps it's windy?

Begin to get curious about the materials that the path is made of.

Is it made of stone or sand?

Perhaps it's a grass path.

Just notice.

As you begin to walk the path,

Visualize how it feels to be on the path that you've chosen,

Whether it's grass,

Pebble,

Stone or sand.

Just notice how it feels to walk along the path.

Standing along the path,

You look to the left and you look to the right.

Observe what's there.

What do you see?

As you walk along the path,

Breathing in through the nose,

Breathing out through the nose,

Beginning to walk,

You come across the cup in the middle of the road.

What kind of cup is it?

Is it a big cup or is it a small cup?

Is the cup made of plastic or perhaps it's glass?

What's the size of the cup or the shape?

And taking a moment to visualize in your mind's eye yourself picking up the cup.

And what do you do with it?

Do you take the cup with you?

What do you leave the cup?

Continuing to breathe in through the nose and breathe out through the nose.

Just allowing the natural pattern of breathing to continue.

Continuing to walk along the path,

You look into the distance straight ahead.

Perhaps you're able to see where the path is going.

Is it clear?

Is the path winding?

Maybe in the distance you can see a destination.

Just make a mental note of what you see when you look into the distance.

Continue walking along the path,

Breathing in through the nose and breathing out through the nose.

And now as you continue to walk along the path,

You come across the key.

What kind of key is it?

Is it a big key or a small key?

What kind of material is it made of?

What does it look like?

Is it a modern key or an older key?

Continuing to visualize with as much detail as possible.

And then becoming curious,

What do you do with the key?

Do you pick it up or do you leave it?

And after you've made a decision,

Continue to walk along the path,

Breathing in through the nose and breathing out through the nose.

And when you're ready,

In your own time,

At your own pace,

Bring the awareness back and gently bring the eyes to open.
