Find a quiet,
Dimly lit room where you can safely relax and take a few moments to become as comfortable as possible.
Lie down gently on your bed.
Cover your body with a blanket.
Adjust your pillows.
Close your eyes and settle in.
Allow yourself to fully relax with a deep breath in through your nose.
And then slowly release your breath through your nose.
As you keep breathing slowly in this way,
You are slowing down your mind.
Invite your body to rest.
As you keep breathing slowly and deeply,
Feel the weight of your body on your bed.
Let your head sink deeply into your pillow.
Relax your forehead.
Relax your face.
It is time to rest.
Tell your back to soften now.
Allow it to sink deeply into your bed.
It is time to rest.
Release any tension in your neck,
In your shoulders,
In your arms,
In your legs.
It is time to rest.
If your body starts to shift or reposition at any point in this meditation,
Let it.
It's natural.
Allow yourself to make adjustments as needed to ensure you are comfortable and relaxed.
Now it is time to drift.
Drift away from anything going on outside of your body.
Drift away from any outside sounds.
Drift away from your surroundings.
And drift away from your stream of consciousness as you feel yourself diving deeply into your subconscious mind.
If you feel yourself drifting into sleep before this meditation has ended,
Allow it.
Follow this urge.
You are here to sink into gratitude as you slip into sleep.
Feel deep gratitude as you drift.
Now feel your body rising,
Floating in the space of sleep.
Floating above your bed,
Floating above your room.
Floating above your home,
Allowing you to see your entire life from above.
What does your life look like from up here?
What do you see?
Perhaps you notice any problems,
Stress,
Or tension seems very far away from this height up.
And you allow them to fully dissolve.
Notice the parts of your life that often go unnoticed.
Take in the big picture.
Consider how everything works together perfectly.
Notice everything in your life that fills you with gratitude.
Imagine waving your arms over your life now,
Wiping the slate clean.
Wipe away any resentment,
Stress,
Tension,
And anything preventing inner peace.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in and release.
Release.
Release.
Feel a revived appreciation for everyone and everything in your life.
Feel gratitude for all of the people who are part of your experiences and memories.
Feel gratitude for every aspect of your life.
As you breathe in deeply,
Feel gratitude for every breath in your lungs.
Feel gratitude for every beat in your heart.
And feel gratitude for this chance to rest your mind and body.
Now simply drift.
Allow your mind and body to go any direction they naturally go.
As they drift over your life,
Be a gentle observer watching without judgment or negativity.
Simply observe with an open heart.
Feel yourself drifting into sleep.
Let go of any visuals in your mind.
Release any thoughts that arise and allow your mind to rest.
Allow your breath to flow easily and gently.
Slowly and gently float back to your home.
