Welcome to my meditation on breaking the cycle of narcissistic abuse.
My name is Veena Patel and I'm a teacher on Insight Timer and I'm really honored to be sharing this practice today.
Before we begin,
I do want to share that this is meant to help meet you wherever you are along your journey.
It's not to create separation between different types of people or to think that one type of person is superior to another.
More so,
This practice is to help break the cycle of this patterning that we've seen play out.
For a lot of history,
Which is impacting a lot of our world today in terms of different systems,
Economy,
Law,
Health.
Business.
And understanding that the more we.
Are able to take our power back and To speak and communicate in more healthier and loving ways that we can do good on this planet and for humanity And we will be working with the throat chakra singing bowl today because I find that narcissism Constantly impacts people in terms of their voice Perhaps this may resonate with you whether you felt Silenced if you've ever undergone anything with manipulation or gaslighting You know the weight of the impact it could have on the voice and be able to speak your truth and communicate in an authentic way that feels aligned for you and is also mutually respectful.
So.
The intention today is to help meet you wherever you are on your journey and understanding that Sometimes what can happen through these practices is that it might not necessarily be that the cycle is broken.
It might just be that you're able to take a more empowering step for yourself.
And that too is worth celebrating because the more that you take these powerful.
And positive actions that are empowering for you and help you move forward in your life,
They eventually compound.
Eventually those incremental steps taken over time can break the cycle.
All of this is safe for some people.
It can happen all at once.
Other times it can take some time.
It's not that one is better than the other.
It's just the path.
So honor whatever the unfolding is.
The last thing I'll mention before we go into a beautiful guided meditation and the sound healing.
Is that.
I am a trauma-informed yoga teacher as well as a physician assistant.
Narcissism and especially for anyone who has undergone or is undergoing any form of abuse,
Whether narcissistic or any form of emotional abuse or anything else related to injustice.
I recommend absolutely seeking support on your path,
Whether it's a therapist,
A counselor,
Doing this work over the long term because usually even when you're breaking the cycle things can still unfold afterwards where you're starting to rebuild your self-worth and create healthier loving boundaries.
And so it's a journey and the intention is that this practice will meet you wherever you are and help elevate your consciousness to the level that it's ready to rise to today.
So that in meeting this deeper aspect of yourself,
You feel more love and kindness and compassion for yourself.
So with that.
I would love for you to get into a comfortable position,
Whether it's sitting upright or lying down,
Turning your attention inward.
Maybe closing the eyes.
And taking a nice deep breath in.
And breathing out.
And doing that again,
Taking a nice deep breath in.
And release.
And once again,
Taking a nice deep breath in.
And exhale to let it go.
And then just noticing the natural rhythm.
The rise and fall of your chest as you breathe and it's natural.
Cyclic fashion.
There's nothing you need to exert.
The body is so wise and intuitive.
It knows to inhale and then exhale.
And as you're dropping in,
And tuning your awareness.
To your inner stay.
Just notice any sensations.
That may be coming up for you.
A lot of times with any unhealthy dynamics or abusive patterns.
We tend to be harder on ourselves.
And you may notice this by.
.
.
Times in your life where you may have taken comments the wrong way.
Or you may have noticed subtle remarks that were made at you that were really Try to dim your light in some way.
And maybe that stopped you from creating your art.
Speaking out.
Perhaps it's doing the things that you love.
Just bring your awareness to that.
Any memories that might be coming up.
And as you exhale,
Just allow them to be released.
With love,
With compassion.
Inhaling a fresh new energy.
Renewal,
Vitality into your body,
Into your nervous system,
Into your field.
And exhale.
What needs to be let go in this moment.
And you may notice different stories,
Different past memories coming up.
And they may not always feel good.
Just for now.
Allow yourself to bring your awareness to some of those memories.
Without any attachment.
And without any judgment.
Just allowing the emotions to come up if anything is surfacing.
And letting them come and go.
Might even place one hand on the heart.
Breathing in kindness and compassion towards yourself.
Exhaling to release.
And as you continue to breathe in this way,
Just gently reminding yourself that you are doing the best that you can.
With the tools and awareness you have at any given moment.
And about one of the most beautiful gifts you can give to yourself is showing yourself the same kindness.
You might be used to.
Sharing with others in your life.
And one of the most remarkable things about breaking patterns is that,
Especially ones that don't serve you.
Is that you're able to release these.
Pent up emotions.
And also let go of some living beliefs and stories.
That may have been running there in the background.
And so as you break the patterns,
You do end up feeling more love and compassion for yourself.
And you are able to take your heart and your head with you,
Meaning both operate in balance.
And in that moment of acceptance.
And surrender.
You were able to let go of more that no longer serves your path.
So that healthier,
More loving patterns.
Connections can enter your life and your sphere.
Could even envision this beautiful white light.
Streaming down your crown chakra down through your channel.
Purifying you and helping you to release.
Any pattern.
Any cycles that no longer serve you when it comes to narcissism.
And doing so from a place of love,
Compassion,
Peace.
And harmony for all.
You And as you stay in that position,
I'm just going to gently.

Offer.
Some sound healing.
So your only job is to Keep your eyes closed and just receive the medicine.
There's nothing else you need to do.
Letting the healing move through your throat chakra.
To release any imprints,
Any foreign energies.
Anything that has prevented you from speaking your truth.
From showing up authentically and from being you,
Essentially.
May you know that it is safe to be you.
Take a nice deep breath in.
Exhale to release.
Slowly bringing your awareness back.
Into your body into the room.
Slow,
Soft movements.
As you come back into your space.
If you're lying down,
You can come back up into seated position.
This concludes our practice today.

And that you're able to feel more love and compassion for yourself and then emanate that.
