A gentle meditation reading Psalm 105 from Nan Merrill's Psalms for Praying. Before beginning, there is time to settle and come to stillness, then the Psalm is read through fully once and a few verses twice more. There is an opportunity to welcome the words or phrases that stand out to you to be received deeply and offer their gift. This version of the Psalms is not a direct translation but is kind, gentle, and intimate.

Welcome to this final part of psalm 105 and let yourself gently arrive into this space settle into a comfortable position and see if you can sink,

Let your shoulders drop take a deeper breath and a sigh and simply let yourself be here,

Nothing demanded or required simply here living and breathing and being seen by the beloved,

Held in the beloved's love you are here these words are here and the divine is here I'm going to read the whole of this part through once and then return to a few verses the final part of psalm 105 to have generous hearts offering all we are in the name of love as spring and summer follow the autumn and winter so our lives have their seasons help us to live in the eternal moment awaiting your perfect timing in all things may we be content to wait in peace until you stir the waters within to act may we be patient with ourselves and with others oh that we may have the light of wisdom the steadfastness of faith in you alone is our trust oh holy one walking your way is the truth that sets us free oh that we may open our minds and hearts and welcome you into our home that we may live each day conversing with you oh loving companion presence as you have led all generations through times of turmoil and war guide us now oh blessed one along the paths of peace may the people of all nations break the bonds of fear-filled oppression may they bless one another with forgiveness blessed be the one who lives and dwells among us I'm going to return to a few of those verses and invite you to notice the words and phrases that stand out to you as spring and summer follow the autumn and winter so our lives have their seasons help us to live in the eternal moment awaiting your perfect timing in all things may we be content to wait in peace until you stir the waters within to act may we be patient with ourselves and with others returning to those words one last time welcome the ones that you noticed that captured your attention to unfold within you and bring their gift may they find a resting place in you and continue to offer their goodness over the coming days as spring and summer follow the autumn and winter so our lives have their seasons help us to live in the eternal moment awaiting your perfect timing in all things may we be content to wait in peace until you stir the waters within to act may we be patient with ourselves and with others friends go in peace and patience may you live in the eternal moment may you know yourself loved and held Amen
