Imagine yourself now sitting under a large spreading oak.
It's a beautiful spring day.
The sky is blue with a few wispy clouds.
And you're looking out across a field of wildflowers.
Butterflies dance beside you.
As you enjoy the peace and warmth of the day.
Spend a few moments in contemplation here.
Noticing the sun on your face.
And enjoying the sounds of nature around you.
You look across the field and see a path opening up through the flowers.
Standing up you begin to make your way towards the path.
And follow it down a gentle sloping hill.
Shortly you reach a gate.
You open the gate and walk through.
You find yourself in a wood.
Shaded but with dappled sunlight reaching through the branches of the trees.
You begin to walk along a path.
Twigs gently crunching beneath your feet.
Woodland creatures are all around.
And a deer steps out from behind a tree.
You make contact with the deer.
And then you both continue on your way.
You notice the difference in temperature.
Cool air touching your skin.
You come to a clearing.
In the centre of the clearing is a large hollow log.
You sit on the log for a well deserved rest.
And look up at the blue sky.
You notice the spacious feeling of the clearing.
And spend a moment taking in your surroundings.
When you're ready you get up from the log.
You begin walking along the path again.
You hear water tinkling in the background.
And realise only a short distance away is a babbling stream.
You arrive at the stream.
Wash your hands and face in its crystal clear waters.
Then find a soft mossy patch of ground and sit down next to the stream.
Enjoying once again the dappled sunlight as it filters through the leaves of the trees.
Find a pebble next to you on the bank and toss it into the stream.
You watch as the pebble lands and then notice the water eddying around larger pebbles and forming the shape of the banks.
You're becoming quite sleepy now.
And you find yourself drifting into a deep peaceful sleep.
The sound of a small bird singing wakes you from your slumber.
And although you don't know how long you slept for,
You're feeling refreshed.
You get up and begin the walk back to the oak tree.
You arrive at the oak.
And the sleep and the experience of the walk leaves you feeling refreshed.
Sitting down once again under the oak.
You take a deep breath.
