Welcome to this guided audio experience.
My name is James and I will be holding space for you in today's practice.
In the session today,
We will be reflecting on our day and noticing the things we loved.
But first,
If you are new here,
I invite you to pause this recording and familiarize yourself with the listener guidelines first.
Okay,
To begin,
Take a moment to stop what you are doing and minimize any distractions in your environment.
Then,
Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down and gently close your eyes.
I'll give you a moment to do this now.
You may pause this recording if you need more time.
Okay,
Let us begin by calming ourselves with the breath.
Take a deep breath in through the nose for a count of four,
Hold it for a count of six,
Then take a long and slow exhale through the mouth for a count of eight.
As you do this,
Focus your attention on the feeling of air going in through your nose and out through your mouth.
I'll give you a long period of silence now to do this several times at your own rhythm.
Now that you are more calmer and more relaxed,
I want you to bring to mind one thing you loved about your day,
Either today or yesterday.
Perhaps it's that you spent some time with your favorite person,
Or maybe you enjoyed a pleasurable activity.
What is it about your day that you loved?
I'll give you a long period of silence now to remember it,
Contemplate it,
Visualize it,
And just sit there and appreciate it.
Okay,
Now bring to mind a second thing about your day that you loved.
What is it?
I'll give you another period of silence now to bring it to mind.
Okay,
And finally,
Think of a third aspect of your day that you loved.
Bring to mind all of the things about your day that you appreciated.
Let all three things fill up your mind now.
Allow your mind to bathe in the appreciation of those things.
Replay it in your mind.
Allow that inner smile to surface within and grow larger and stronger.
Okay,
I will leave you here.
Now,
Feel free to continue on with this session after the recording ends,
If you feel the urge to do so.
And I wish you a day filled with gratitude and love for life.
