Welcome to your meditation practice.
I'm Becca and I'll be guiding you today through a practice around recharging your batteries.
If you are feeling a little tired today,
Just not quite yourself.
If you're recovering after a long day and before heading to sleep you want to refill your cup or some other moment during the day where you are just feeling like you need a little recharge,
This practice is for you.
Find a comfortable seat or if you would like to lay down,
Find a place to lay down.
Wherever you are,
Get as comfortable as you possibly can and relax.
If you want to move or wiggle,
Maybe notice if there's any tension in your body.
Taking a big deep breath in and as you exhale,
Release all of your breath and any tension you might have in your body.
We'll take two more just like that,
Breathe in deep and exhale,
Release the breath and any tension.
And one more,
Big as deep as breath of your day so far.
And open the mouth,
Sigh it out,
Release,
Letting your breath return to a natural pattern without needing to force it to be or do anything,
Giving your body permission as well to not do or be anything and also tell your mind,
Share with your mind that it's okay to not do or be anything for the next few moments while you're here,
Remembering you don't have to do or be anything just right now in this moment.
You can let it all go,
With each breath you take,
You can let it all go.
I want you to imagine that you are laying in a field somewhere where the breeze is gentle and the white fluffy clouds float by with a beautiful blue sky and there is big ball of radiant sun shining down on you in this field and you're spending just a little while here in this field with nothing to do,
Nowhere to go,
Nothing to figure out.
You're just being.
Your job is to just feel the sun on your skin warming you up.
Maybe you have goosebumps on your skin rising as the breeze floats by.
You feel the sun kiss your skin and you breathe in deep,
Almost as if the sun was moving in to the lungs as you breathe in,
Feeling the inside of your body as well,
Letting the sun recharge you as if you yourself were a plant,
Starting to feel the energy come back into your limbs,
Your toes,
Your fingers,
As if the sunlight on your skin was actually recharging your being and let it spread down your arms,
Up your legs,
Covering your face,
Your torso,
Meeting in the center of your body,
Feeling warmth and sunlight move in and through and around your entire being and breathing into this experience of being recharged by the ball of energy that is here for us all of the time.
Notice if there's any places where the sunlight might not reach quite yet in your body,
Some nooks or crannies that you can breathe into and soften and allow the sunlight and energy to reach.
What does it feel like to allow energy to move from the sun into your body and all around it?
Taking another moment here just to breathe in and out,
Allowing energy to move in and through and around.
When you feel complete with this new energy coursing through your body,
Wiggling your toes and fingers,
If your eyes were closed,
Opening your eyes and looking around your space,
Maybe noting where the sun is if it's in your space,
Your vicinity right now,
And if not,
Knowing that the sun is still there just someplace else.
And this ball of light is always available to help you recharge your battery,
Your body,
Your being.
And sending some gratitude to the sun and to yourself for being in relationship.
Putting a hand on your heart and just sending a big thank you.
And when you're ready,
Going about your day.
