Good morning,
Good afternoon or good evening.
Welcome to your meditation today.
Today's meditation will help protect yourself.
So go ahead and find that position that you want to meditate in today and take a moment to just look around your area,
Your space that you're in.
Looking at your body,
Feeling the connection of your body to that which you're resting on whether it's a chair,
A couch,
Maybe the floor,
Or maybe you're standing up or laying down still in the bed.
Wherever you are,
Just take a deep breath in and let it go.
You can close your eyes if you want or you can find one point in front of you to focus on.
Let your shoulders relax down.
Relax your jaw.
Can you relax your ears?
And then connect to your heart.
Feel your chest subtly rise and fall with each inhale and exhale.
And on the inhale,
Imagine you're breathing in light.
Then on the exhale,
That light is coming in through your body,
Traveling through your whole body.
Again,
Breathe in the light through your heart or through your nose and then on the exhale,
Letting it travel through your body,
Releasing down through the top of your head or the bottom of your feet,
Connecting to the rest of the world.
As your mind wanders,
You can bring it back to breathing in the light and then letting it go,
Traveling through your body.
Now,
Can you imagine that you have a superpower jump rope and when you spin the jump rope around your body,
There's a trace of light and protection,
A shield that travels around your body,
Protecting your whole body yet giving you space to still breathe the light in and let it go.
But that creates that shield,
Creates a cocoon that's breathable but is protective.
We're going to stay here for a couple minutes.
When your mind wanders,
Just gently bring it back to your focus.
You can focus on that light inside of you,
The shield around you or simply your breath or your body.
Thank you.

.
.
.
This protective shield that's around your body is capable of deflecting anything that no longer serves you.
Letting in that which will nourish you.
And still allowing light to come in and out.
Then you can take your hands rub them together.
Take a deep breath in and then letting it go and giving yourself a hug or placing your hands over your heart.
Taking a moment to thank yourself for cultivating this practice and protecting yourself.
Namaste.
