In this meditation,
I'm going to guide you into a beautiful restful sleep by taking you on a relaxing train ride through the beautiful countryside.
Set a comfortable position and make sure you will not be disturbed so you can get a restful sleep.
Get as comfortable as you can now and let's begin to let go of all the tension you have built up throughout the day.
And you begin to realize any worries you have built up today seem to lose their power now.
And like the dial on a thermostat,
The intensity has been turned down.
Allow yourself to slow down your breathing with each breath you take.
Take a nice full breath in and slowly exhale.
Just observe your mind how it might be thinking of the various events of the day.
You may perhaps be able to see flashes in your mind or perhaps even feel them or hear the sounds of the day.
Good.
Let the images of the day start fading now.
Let's bring into your imagination that you're walking towards a long train that is parked along the countryside.
The engine of the train is stopped at an old train station and the long train extends into the horizon.
You start walking several cars back and you notice an open car.
You see the workers getting ready for the train to leave and the engine starts blowing its whistle.
As you hop into the train,
You find that the car is filled with fresh hay.
You lay down in the hay and you discover it is perfectly comfortable.
As you lay down,
You notice that you are able to still look outside and see the beautiful countryside.
You lay down and you begin waiting for the train to roll.
The weather is calm,
Mild.
You smell the hay and the countryside breeze.
As the train starts to roll,
You begin feeling slight,
Calm vibration.
The train is now leaving the station and the car you're in begins to slowly move.
You take a deep breath because you know it is going to be a long,
Relaxing train ride.
The vibrations get stronger as the train increases in speed and you can hear the relaxing sound of the wheels along the tracks.
You can hear the train as the wagon passes by small stations along the way.
The ringing sounds get fainter in the distance until you cannot hear them any longer.
The vibrations are so smooth.
There is a relaxing hum as the train has reached a safe and steady speed for your journey.
As you gaze outside,
You notice that soon it will be sunset.
You can see out of both sides of the train car,
Making it the most beautiful view you've ever seen.
You can see the ground going by very quickly.
You can see trees and mountains rolling by in the distance.
When you look out into nature,
You just enjoy all the beauty.
The sun is beginning to meet the horizon,
Setting behind a soft,
Rolling mountain range in the distance.
The colors from the sunset is breathtaking.
The pinks and yellows of the sky fade into blue,
Then into deep blue as the night sky rolls in.
The gentle mountain range gives off hues of green and blue and gray.
The sun is reflecting colors of purple mixed with orange as it dips below the mountains.
Meadows of warm golden colors are passing by the train and every now and then an old giant oak tree passes by,
Standing proudly in the fields of gold.
This view is mesmerizing.
You have nothing to think about other than the beauty you are witnessing.
You are getting more and more relaxed and feeling grateful for those beautiful moments upon the train.
You are so comfortable and ready for a deep night's sleep.
Your eyes are becoming heavy with sleep as you watch the day turn to darkness.
As the train rolls on,
It leaves the countryside and enters a forest.
The weather cools just a bit and you can smell the trees as they close in around the train.
It's dark now,
But there is a crisp moonlight peeking through the trees as they pass by.
The hum of the train is so soothing and it makes you more and more sleepy.
With your eyes closed,
You can hear yourself saying,
Sleep comes and it restores me and heals me.
Nighttime is my time to fully rest and rejuvenate.
I am safe.
A deep night's sleep is coming and I am along for the ride.
I am safe.
I have done all that I need to do today and right now all I have to do is sleep.
Sleep comes over me naturally,
Peacefully,
Easily and willingly.
As I become more relaxed and sleepy,
This gives my body time to heal.
I know how good this is for me right now.
I am safe.
Deep sleep is possible every night.
I let go of worries.
I let go of stress.
My breath is slow and steady and carries me into a long night's sleep.
As I become sleepier and sleepier,
My brain slows.
But my creativity increases.
This creative state has no worries or fears.
It is completely open to showing me how to achieve my goals and obtain my desires.
I am grateful for today and I am ready to sleep.
Now it is my time to dream.
I embrace this healing time.
My body is heavy and calm.
My muscles are completely relaxed and any tension has faded.
My mind is quiet.
My mind is calm.
My mind is clear.
I sleep well every night.
Everything disturbs me as I sleep.
The more rest I get,
The better I feel.
I thank my body for allowing this time to rest.
I thank my mind for letting go of worries.
I thank my mind for letting go of distractions.
I release all my thoughts from the day.
I release any tension from the day.
I will awake refreshed and happy when I have gotten the perfect amount of sleep I need.
I am grateful for my beautiful bed and my pillow that support me.
I am calm and full of peace.
Falling asleep is effortless for me.
Each night I welcome sleep.
When I sleep,
My mind and body are completely refreshed and ready to accomplish anything.
I look forward to sleep knowing it will be relaxing.
Falling asleep happens quickly without any effort.
Sleep is safe for you now.
