Today's meditation will be a tuning in to the heart as an opportunity to acknowledge where you may have been feeling absent or incomplete and a chance to make whole again by allowing yourself to be here for yourself fully now.
So whether you're seated or lying back,
However you choose to position yourself is fine.
And if you'd like,
You can gently rest your eyes during this span of time dedicated to recognizing your true nature and your ability to come back to yourself.
And just begin by giving yourself permission to focus your attention inward.
Take a deep breath in,
Filling your lungs,
Feeling the expansion of your body.
And as you exhale,
Just notice any tension in your body.
And then simply release it along with the breath,
Sending it off.
While releasing this tension,
You can give yourself permission to also let go of any current judgments you may hold towards yourself.
Knowing that just as the moon waxes and wanes,
You are constantly changing phases yourself with all phases being necessary.
It's okay to accept and hold space for each one.
Whether you're feeling it inside or you're experiencing something external.
While some phases may be more comfortable than others,
There is one constant anchor of security that you can rely on.
And that anchor is your unchanging ability to return home to yourself.
So come home by breathing in respect and appreciation for yourself here.
And allow those feelings of unconditional love to expand from your heart all the way out past your fingertips and past your toes.
And as you exhale,
Let go of any harsh thoughts,
Replacing them with understanding.
While you allow yourself to breathe naturally now,
You may like to use your imagination as best you can to visualize a purple light.
Maybe the light is soft in color like a lavender.
Or maybe it's more vibrant like an indigo or something deeper.
Whichever color you see,
Imagine it now filling your body and the surrounding area.
While the light continues to illuminate your body,
Let it now also intensify the feelings of joy,
Self-empowerment,
And unconditional love within yourself.
And let it strengthen your compassion and understanding for others in turn.
And while enjoying the sensation of this light,
You may find it powerful to repeat the following phrases out loud or internally while allowing yourself to feel any emotions that come up for you here.
I choose to send love to myself when I need it most.
I am sending love to all parts of myself.
I deserve this love.
I accept this love.
I commit to caring for myself.
I release the hold of the past.
I release any feelings of worry or anxiety.
I am free.
I am stepping forward with courage.
I embrace who I am today.
I am grounded.
I am whole.
This return to self can be initiated anytime that you may notice your mind going astray.
If you feel that happening,
You can just give yourself the reminder to return to the moment,
Return to your breath.
Notice any tension.
Send it away and allow understanding to flow into those spaces.
And if you like,
You could also envision the purple light using it to bring you back into these feelings of peacefulness and understanding.
So you can go ahead and open your eyes if they're closed.
