Mercury (Mercury symbol) is the smallest planet in the solar system and closest to the Sun, with a period of revolution (the time a planet takes to revolve around its star) of 88 days (this is the longest rapid solar system). She has no known satellite. Its name comes from the Roman god Mercury, due to its speed of revolution.
