Hey dear hearts,
I've just made my cup of womanhood tea and I felt the urge,
The pulse,
The pull to jump in and chat with you.
And the rain started to fall,
Heavy,
Real heavy,
It's kind of taking a breath now but you will likely hear it in the background.
Sometimes life really hurts and we have to learn to take any loss,
Any challenge,
Any pain,
Like a boss,
With grace,
With grit,
With heart,
No matter how much it hurts or how embarrassing it feels,
We can choose to grow through it.
Eventually we do grow through it depending on how long we hold the rope,
Whether or not we choose to get extra rope burn or we practice and rehearse and so we may easily or more practice let go.
But it can teach us,
Every situation that does not work in our favour is also there to really show us a side of ourselves that we really needed to see,
To feel,
To love,
To accept.
So we aren't truly losing,
We're learning.
We hear it all the time that everything is happening to you,
Is for you.
It's kind of like life is one big earthly cosmic mess but everything that we're going through is pushing us closest to the person we need to be from within ourselves.
We're constantly finding ourselves and finding ways to create the lives we wish we had,
To step into the artist and the artistry,
The theatre,
The stage that is our own tapestry to weave and lights to put on and produce.
What we often don't remember is that life does get better.
Often the bigger our demons become the more we are being welcomed into a steaming portal pot to traverse and come through,
Remembering that everything revolves around balance and harmony.
The idea of perfection sometimes is in fact the potion or the program or condition that has us stagnate,
Fear,
Fawn,
Fight or freeze the most.
Because when life gets unbearable it's always worth remembering.
Often these are the problems or the challenges or the losses that we definitely didn't ask for.
But if we say yes to transmuting our way through maybe we'll taste more of our medicine,
Our art,
Our muse than we once knew.
So here is an ode to owning yourself,
To truly being whole from within,
Whole unto you.
Be nice to yourself,
Be kind,
Really kind,
Go to donut king alone,
Take walks along the beach,
Let your feet wash in the salt water,
Hold your own hand,
Be with yourself,
Take a super long bath,
Blast your favourite playlist.
And in the moments where you feel like life is unbearable,
Stop waiting for someone to give you that unconditional fairy tale,
Stop waiting for someone to love you and give you grace and rather give it to yourself.
Not right now,
It's so interesting to me how often an eye and up in the corner here do it too.
Our energy leaks,
Fragments,
Chisels its way off to relearn and loop but it does that in ways that remove us from ourselves until we remember ourselves back to whole.
So unfollow the people who give you strange,
Weird energy.
Unfollow the people you continue to watch that trigger you.
Press mute and block people who make you feel uncomfortable for whatever reason on your social media,
On your phone,
In your DMs.
Befriend yourself and set your standards.
Protect your space.
Protect your space.
Your space is your energy,
Your emotions,
Your mind,
Your body and your soul.
Protect your space.
And here's the unhinged cliche piece,
Protect your space but don't over armour.
When you master this,
Please feel free to let me know.
But pay no mind to how people may perceive you doing it.
Truly we all deserve greatness.
You deserve greatness.
You deserve infinite wonder,
Love,
Grace and kindness.
So give it all to yourself right now.
We truly need to stop learning and feeling guilty for being kind to ourselves.
Because if we keep sitting around waiting for someone to come and rescue us from ourselves,
Life will just keep on passing us by and it ain't gonna happen.
You are your own healer,
Your own guide,
Your muse,
Your guru,
The medicine,
The magic,
The art and the artist.
So give it to yourself.
Let the polarities from within dance so you truly can start to see and begin.
Run the long bath.
Make a cup of tea,
Cacao,
Pour a red wine.
Dance to R&B.
Bang your head to rock and roll.
Write in prayer to ambient nature sounds.
Get on your yoga mat.
Go for a run.
Wear your tracksuit pants and odd boots to the store.
Put on your favorite dress and heels and dance some more.
Whatever it is,
Whoever you are,
Feed it,
Hold it,
See it,
Embrace it.
All you,
Dear heart,
Are who you've been looking for.
