The time for change has come again,
Dear one.
I invite you to rest in knowing this truly is the only thing constant.
I invite you to rest in knowing that the change will occur and you will have the choice to allow for it to do so instead of spiraling into the need to do and to make it all just so.
We are interesting paradoxes as humans,
As we crave this change,
Yet we resist the moment it knocks on our door.
Imagine if the trees never shed their leaves.
Imagine if the ocean was perpetually still and never lapped against the shore.
Imagine if the butterfly remained safely enclosed inside of the chrysalis,
Never venturing out into its unforeseen world,
Beckoning for its wings to spread and be celebrated by the glow of the sun.
Imagine if we didn't have these exquisite examples of instinctual choice and knowing.
I know you're scared,
Dear one.
I know the foreboding storm can settle with fear into the marrow of your bones.
I know what it feels like to be frozen in time questioning whether the next step forward will be the right one or not.
I know the anticipation comes with seeing the streak of lightning across the sky,
Waiting for the loud clap of thunder to follow.
I also know what you are capable of.
I know the strength that you have in your knowing,
In your ability to choose.
I know the courage that lies within,
Ready to meet and greet any unexpected obstacle that comes your way that transforms into opportunity.
I know the joy that you experience when you dance in the rain.
The time for change has come again,
Dear one,
And so has your opportunity to choose.
The sky may be thick and so is your will to persevere.
The body may be ready to react in fear and your heart has the knowing of what it is to pause and then respond.
Inhale deeply.
Exhale completely.
Allow your gaze to lift towards the promise above,
Always shining down,
Illuminating the way even through the clouds.
Inhale deeply.
Exhale completely.
Allow yourself to take off your shoes and feel the damp earth between your toes that is being fed and nourished by the falling rain.
Inhale deeply.
Exhale completely.
Allow yourself to go within and trust in the growth that is occurring as a result of your ability to trust and to know.
Inhale deeply.
Exhale completely.
Allow yourself to take the next step,
Dear one.
And choose again.
The sky becomes thick with the message of change.
My body responds instinctively as I tighten and once again prepare to run.
And I pause.
I look up.
I inhale the smell of nourishment and of growth.
I soften.
I remember the rain is not here to destroy or instill fear.
I choose growth as I courageously step into the storm.
