You are so much more than your thoughts. This guided visualisation is an opportunity to remember that you are vast, and that your thoughts and your feelings do not define you. It's a beautiful track to use when you're feeling anxious, or when you're caught up in rumination and negative thought loops. This 17-minute track offers a way to shift your perspective beyond your thoughts, into the sky and beyond into the Universe. Universe in Your Mind is also helpful if you're feeling stuck or blocked and in need of new ideas.

Welcome to Universe In Your Mind.

My name is Tamsin Bradshaw and I will be guiding you today through this practice which is a visualization practice.

One that's designed to help you see,

Feel and experience beyond your thoughts.

To discover that there is an entire universe within you and that you are vast.

So if you're ready,

Get comfortable somewhere you'll be undisturbed for a while and let's dive in.

Come to a comfortable seat.

Feel your sit bones underneath you connecting with your seat.

Feel your feet on the floor or feet connecting with the floor in some way.

Feel this sense of grounding down,

Of connecting with the earth beneath you,

Of gravity anchoring you to this earth.

Start to deepen your breath,

Inhaling through the nose and if you like you can exhale through the mouth,

Just sighing it out.

Just releasing any stresses from your day,

From your night.

Longer inhales,

Longer exhales.

Just beginning to slow everything down and as you slow your breath,

Beginning to notice that inside,

Inside you everything slows down too,

Just a little.

Feeling cells,

Nerve channels,

Blood vessels,

Everything just decelerating a little,

Pulling back from this feeling of needing to move fast.

Imagine a train slowing down as it comes to the station,

As it reaches its destination.

You are that train just slowing down so that you can come to stillness.

Just noticing everything moving a little slower.

Now begin to move your attention in,

Further in,

In towards your central channel,

Your spine and the energetic channel that runs up and down through your body.

And from this slower place,

Just notice your thoughts.

Notice if the mind is still whirring as it's slowed down.

Notice if any thoughts are moving through your mind and just let them.

Begin to see these thoughts as if they are clouds.

Just like clouds,

They can move,

They can change,

They can explode with rain,

They can dissipate easily.

Just notice that beyond the clouds is the sky.

This is your true nature.

This is the mind and all that lies beyond that.

Just noticing that the sky is a beautiful blue,

One that the deeper it goes,

The darker it gets,

Moving from brilliant blue to indigo and midnight and all the stars beyond.

This sky is vast and quiet and is so peaceful here out beyond the clouds.

Just notice that there is so much space,

That there is a whole universe in your mind.

There are no limits,

There is no end.

Everything is possible.

Just seeing if you can stretch,

Stretch your mind in this vast empty space.

Just noticing what comes through,

What feelings this brings if any.

Noticing the deep peace and quiet in this vast,

Dark and yet beautifully illuminated space.

Notice that you are vast,

You cannot be contained.

I'm just taking one more moment with this vastness that is you.

Just to see if you can mentally stretch a little further.

Just taking another moment with this vastness,

With your own vastness,

The peace of this place,

Knowing that this is always available to you,

This is yours.

Just now returning,

Feeling everything gain a little more density,

Heaviness,

Coming back into the bluer sky now.

Watch it moving from that midnight blue,

Back to bright blue,

The bright blue of a sunlit sky.

We're still here in the vastness,

Beyond the clouds.

Just noticing the clouds beneath you,

Noticing them moving and shifting and changing.

Noticing gentle little wisps below you,

Some angry,

Full clouds,

All passing and moving,

Changing,

Just let them go.

Noticing that below the clouds there is the earth,

And just bringing yourself back down through the clouds,

Setting that intention to come back fully into your human body,

Returning to full density.

Feeling your skin,

Feeling your hands and your feet,

Feeling your feet where they connect with the floor,

Noticing how everything feels a little more spacious,

A little more expansive,

A little or a lot more peaceful.

Now taking a big breath in through the nose,

Out through the nose,

Take a couple more like that.

And now taking a breath in through the nose and out through the mouth,

Sighing it out.

Touching with your fingers,

Giving them a wiggle if that feels good,

Stretching any parts of you that need to stretch.

Noticing where you connect with the seat beneath you,

And just taking as long as you need to reground in your body to return to this human vessel that is yours for this lifetime.

And whenever you're ready,

You can open your eyes and return to your day.
