Many of us spend years in a futile battle with excess weight. We never consider that from our body-brain's perspective, this weight is serving a crucial purpose. Otherwise, it would not be there. Our subconscious often uses body fat as a protective barrier. This fat acts as a metaphorical moat around our castle or inner sanctum. It provides a buffer between ourselves and perceived danger. We essentially wear our body fat like a suit of armor to keep us safe. When we use the tapping technique, we gently rewire the brain. This allows us to access and release the repressed emotions, beliefs, and memories, that are showing up on our bodies as excess weight. So let’s tap together now to begin peeling away the subconscious reasons we have for wearing excess fat on our bodies like a protective suit of armor.

Hello and welcome to this EFT Tapping Meditation with me,

Tamara Petallan.

In this session,

We're going to tap together to start the process of releasing the body fat we're wearing as a kind of armour or protection.

When we use the tapping technique,

We gently rewire the brain by sending a calming signal to the amygdala.

This allows us to shift limiting beliefs that are keeping us stuck in old habits and patterns,

And it allows us to access and release the repressed emotions,

Beliefs and memories that are showing up on our bodies as excess weight.

So with that in mind,

Let's tap now and gently remove the subconscious reasons we have for keeping this excess fat on our bodies.

So for this tapping meditation,

We acknowledge that some subconscious part of us perceives benefits in holding onto the excess weight,

While we begin the process of releasing the beliefs that are keeping the weight in place.

To begin,

Use a scale from 0 to 10 and pick a number that matches how strong you feel these old beliefs are rooting your weight in place,

10 being the strongest.

We will say the setup statement three times while tapping on the karate chop point of either hand.

Even though part of me has really good reasons for holding onto this excess weight,

I relax about it now and I forgive myself.

Even though there's a part of me that believes that holding onto this excess body fat is in my best interests,

I choose to love and accept myself and my body.

Even though I have these subconscious beliefs about the benefits of keeping this extra body fat,

I honour myself and my subconscious motives.

Take a deep breath.

And now we're going to use two or three fingers,

Our index finger,

Middle finger,

Maybe ring finger,

To tap around the points on our face and torso,

Starting with the start of our eyebrow point,

Eyebrow,

Part of me believes,

Side of the eye,

That this extra weight is protecting me,

Under the eye,

Part of me believes,

Under the nose,

That this extra weight is keeping me safe,

Tapping on your chin point,

Part of me believes,

Tap on the collarbone,

It's not safe to release this excess weight,

Under the arm,

My body and brain want this weight,

Top of the head,

They believe the weight is serving me somehow,

Take a deep breath in and out through the nose,

And start tapping on the eyebrow point again,

Repeat this,

A subconscious part of me,

Side of the eye,

Has really good reasons for keeping this weight,

Under the eye,

That subconscious part of me,

Under the nose,

Believes keeping this body fat is in my best interests,

Chin,

At some time in my life,

Collarbone,

I've decided that the best way to survive,

Under the arm,

Was with this extra fat as protection,

Top of the head,

This body fat was my armour,

Now keep tapping on the top of the head and take another deep inhale through the nose,

And a long exhale,

And now move the tapping to your eyebrow point again,

And repeat after me,

This body fat was my shield,

Side of the eye,

This fat was protecting me,

Under the eye,

This fat was loving me,

Under the nose,

This fat was taking care of me,

Chin,

That's what part of me believes,

Collarbone,

And maybe that was true at one time,

Under the arm,

Maybe this body fat armour was a great protector,

Top of the head,

And now moving again to your eyebrow,

It was my body fat fairy godmother,

Side of the eye,

Always looking out for me,

Under the eye,

But maybe I've outgrown this suit of armour,

Under the nose,

Because it no longer serves me so well,

Chin,

Because my needs have changed,

Collarbone,

Maybe the armour that once protected me,

Under the arm,

Is now a hindrance,

Top of the head,

It's now weighing me down,

Take another deep inhale and exhale,

Tapping on the eyebrow point,

It's holding me back,

Side of the eye,

It's slowing me down,

Under the eye,

It's pulling me under,

Under the nose,

It's gone from protecting me,

Chin point,

To drowning me,

Collarbone,

I am so grateful to my body fat,

Under the arm,

For looking after me when I needed it,

Top of the head,

But my needs have changed.

Okay,

Just bring your,

Stop tapping for a moment and pause and take a couple of deep breaths and we'll continue,

So deep inhale through the nose,

Long exhale through the nose or mouth,

And one more deep inhale and long exhale,

And let's continue again,

Tapping on the eyebrow point and repeating after me,

With the greatest of respect and gratitude,

Side of the eye,

To my faithful old suit of body fat armour,

Under the eye,

I'm ready to transform now,

Under the nose,

I'm ready to rise like the phoenix,

Chin,

I'm ready to emerge like a butterfly from its chrysalis,

Collarbone,

This suit of armour doesn't fit me anymore,

Under the arm,

Under the arm,

It's no longer fit for purpose,

Top of the head,

It can be recycled into something new and beautiful,

Eyebrow,

I have changed and evolved,

Side of the eye,

I have better ways of keeping myself safe,

Under the eye,

I choose to know that I am safe without the extra weight,

Under the nose,

I choose to know that I am safe without the extra weight,

Chin,

I choose to understand that I am protected without the extra weight,

Collarbone,

I choose to understand that I am protected without the extra weight,

Under the arm,

I choose to believe that my best interests are no longer served by this extra weight,

Top of the head,

I choose to believe that my best interests are no longer served by this extra weight,

A eyebrow point,

So I now release all the subconscious beliefs,

Side of the eye,

That view this weight as a benefit,

Under the eye,

I now delete,

Cancel and uproot all those subconscious beliefs,

Under the nose,

I now delete,

Cancel and uproot all of those subconscious beliefs,

Chin,

The beliefs that are keeping this excess body fat in place,

Collarbone,

I release all of these limiting subconscious beliefs now,

Under the arm,

I release them from every cell of my physical and energetic bodies,

Top of the head,

I replace these old beliefs with the following new beliefs,

Eyebrow,

I know how to be safe without the extra weight,

Side of the eye,

I know how to be safe and that I am safe without the extra weight,

Under the eye,

I know that I am safe without the extra weight,

Under the nose,

I know how to be safe in a lean and healthy body,

Chin,

I know that I am safe in a lean and healthy body,

Collarbone,

I know what it feels like to be unconditionally loved,

Under the arm,

I know that I am unconditionally loved,

Top of the head,

And so it is.

Okay,

Let's take a deep inhale here again through the nose,

Oh now through the nose or mouth,

So that brings our session to an end for now,

So please close your eyes,

Cross your hands over your chest,

Take a deep breath and say transform,

Close your eyes and in your mind's eye,

Imagine this new knowledge of how to be safe without the extra weight,

Pouring into every cell of your physical and energetic bodies,

Until your whole being vibrates with this new frequency of unconditional love,

And take the time to visualize this happening,

Watch in your mind's eyes,

Every cell of your body absorbs and reflects this new information,

Visualize yourselves releasing the old patterns and witness the new choices being encoded into your DNA,

And now mindfully open your eyes onto a whole new world in which you no longer believe that extra body fat is a benefit.

I have intellectually known that I build up all this fat as a way to protect myself, I just didn't know how to release this belief. I hope through repeated tapping my body and soul start to take on the knew belief. Thank you so much for this very helpful tapping session. Maybe you could do one for keeping or losing weight during menopause.
