Go ahead and settle into a comfortable seated position.

Sit up straight and tall,

Roll your shoulders down your back,

And bring your palms face down onto your thighs.

Bring your attention to your breath.

Breathe in and out with ease.

Each breath you take allows you to go deeper and deeper inside.

Now imagine yourself getting up to go for a walk.

You leave whatever room you're in,

You walk out the door,

And you go outside.

Once you're outside,

You see a tunnel,

And you walk through this tunnel.

In the tunnel,

It's dark,

You can't see anything,

But all of the sudden,

You start to see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel,

And you walk towards it.

You keep walking towards this bright light as you feel a sense of peace and excitement wash over you.

You reach the end of the tunnel,

And you walk out into the bright light,

And you realize that you are in a new place in the future.

It's a beautiful place.

There are houses around you,

And you immediately feel at home.

You recognize that it's about 10 years into the future,

And you start to look around.

What do you see?

Somewhere nearby,

You see a house that catches your eye.

It is your dream home,

And there's something that seems really familiar about this home.

You walk towards this house,

And as you get closer,

You realize that this house belongs to your future self,

Yourself 10 years from now.

Take note of this home.

What does it look like?

What can you see from the outside?

What can you hear?

You decide to walk up to the door and knock on the door,

Knowing that your future self is waiting on the other side of the door,

Ready to greet you.

When the door opens,

What do you see?

What do you hear?

What do you feel?

Your future self welcomes you with a huge smile,

So excited to see you,

And invites you into this time and place 10 years in the future.

You take a second to take in this person.

What do they look like?

How do they move?

How do they make you feel?

What are they wearing?

What is their energy?

They bring you inside,

And you get to take a good look at this home.

What do you notice about it?

Who is inside?

What is the energy like?

Your future self then takes you to a comfortable and quiet place in their home to sit down and talk.

Maybe they offer you something to eat or drink.

You follow them,

And you take a moment to get settled in and make yourself comfortable.

Once you are settled,

You ask your future self the following questions,

And then you take a second to listen to what they have to say.

What do I need to pay attention to most in my life right now?

Knowing what you know now,

What is one piece of advice you would give me?

How do I get from where I am now to where you are?

How do I find peace,

Joy,

And gratitude right now?

Now take a few moments to ask your future self anything else you'd like to know.

Any other questions you might have.

And then before you go,

You close up your time together by asking one final question.

What name,

Other than your first name,

Are you called by?

This could be a special name,

A metaphor,

Or a symbol of your essence.

What is this name?

Now thank your future self for being with you today and for sharing their wisdom with you.

Say your goodbyes and head out of their home.

As you walk away,

Take one more look back at their home.

What will you remember most about this experience?

Continue walking back the way you came,

And soon you see the tunnel that brought you here.

Walk back through the tunnel to bring you back to where you began.

Feeling a sense of peace,

Of gratitude,

And of inner knowing settle into your body as you walk through this tunnel.

Soon you see the light at the end of the tunnel,

And you exit the tunnel back where you started from.

You walk back inside and sit back down where you are now.

Take a few deep breaths and start to bring your attention back to your body,

Back to the present moment.

Maybe stretch out your body a little bit,

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

And when you are ready,

Open your eyes and journal about the experience you just had.
