As we move into a new year (or any new season) it’s natural to feel uncertainty, pressure, or self-doubt about what lies ahead. In this gentle EFT tapping session, we’re not trying to force clarity or make big decisions. Instead, we slow down, soften tension in the body, and create a sense of safety in the nervous system. This session supports you in releasing pressure about the future, reconnecting with inner steadiness and self-trust, and allowing alignment to unfold naturally...at your own pace. You can return to this tapping anytime the path ahead feels foggy, overwhelming, or uncertain.

As we kind of start out on our new year in January,

We might be thinking about the year ahead and thinking,

Oh,

You know,

What are my goals?

What do I plan to do?

Maybe you've got some hopes or aspirations or expectations,

Or maybe even questions.

But sometimes we also have this sense of feeling a bit scared or maybe doubting ourselves or doubting the year ahead.

So what we're going to do today is we're not here to try and force clarity and we're not going to be making big decisions.

What we're going to be doing through the tapping is just creating a little bit of space,

Releasing any kind of tension or worries about the year ahead and really reconnecting with your inner steadiness and that self-trust and guidance.

Okay,

So we're going to get started nice and gently.

We're going to take it slowly.

So let's begin with a nice deep breath in through the nose.

Nice big inhale,

Expansive breath and then just exhaling and letting go a little bit on that exhale.

Just relaxing into this space and then start tapping on the side of the hand.

You can repeat after me,

Either out loud or in your mind,

Either is fine.

Even though I feel some uncertainty about the year ahead,

I'm open to meeting myself with kindness.

Even though part of me worries about what's coming,

I honour how I feel right now.

Even though I don't have my year figured out yet,

I choose to love,

Honour and accept myself.

And I'm moving to the eyebrow.

I wonder what this year will bring.

I wonder.

Side of the eye,

There is some uncertainty about what lies ahead.

Under the eye,

Part of me feels a bit anxious or unsure.

Under the nose,

And I worry about making the wrong choices.

Moving to the chin point,

And sometimes I really doubt myself.

Moving to the collarbone point,

I doubt my goals,

My intentions,

And I doubt my ability to feel aligned.

And that's okay.

Under the arm,

I feel all this pressure to have it all figured out.

Top of the head,

And I feel some tension or resistance around the year ahead.

So just notice that while you're tapping here,

Just notice any tension or resistance.

Keep tapping and breathing,

And not judging.

Maybe you've read something,

Or seen something online,

Or heard something,

And you just feel like,

Oh,

I should be doing this,

Or I should be doing that.

Or maybe there's a sense of really wanting to move forward as well,

So just notice what's here.

Knowing that whatever is here is okay.

So moving now back to the eyebrow points,

What's if I don't get it right this year?

Side of the eye,

What if I disappoint myself?

Under the eye,

What if old habits and patterns slip back in?

Under the nose,

It's like my nervous system wants certainty.

Under the chin points,

I feel kind of overwhelmed right now.

Collarbone,

It's like I really want to feel aligned.

Under the arm,

I'm tired of always having to try so hard.

Top of the head,

I just want the year to go well.

Okay,

So continue tapping on the eyebrow.

We're just going to start to create a little bit of safety,

Maybe begin to soften a little bit.

Tapping on the eyebrow,

I'm allowed to feel unsure.

Side of the eye,

I don't need all the answers right now,

Or today,

Or tomorrow.

Under the eye,

It's safe to slow down.

So as we tap here,

Be slow.

You can slow the taps,

You can slow the breath.

Often feels like when we come into a new year,

There's a lot of rushing.

We rush to choose a word of the year,

We rush to do our goals.

We rush around doing all those post-Christmas jobs.

So just repeat that again.

It's safe to slow down.

I can meet the future one step at a time.

Chin points,

I'm open to really softening in my body.

Collarbone points,

I'm letting my shoulders drop a little.

I'm unclenching my jaw.

I'm relaxing my tongue.

So let your tongue be heavy.

I'm letting my tummy soften.

My whole nervous system to settle.

Top of the head,

Inviting calm into this moment.

Back to the eyebrow point.

There's such wisdom inside me.

Side of the eye,

Even if I can't hear it or feel it clearly yet,

It's there.

Under the eye,

What if I can trust myself more than I think?

Under the nose,

Maybe I can move forward from steadiness and not pressure.

Chin points,

And I don't have to rush alignment.

Alignment unfolds naturally when I feel safe.

Under the arm,

I choose to settle and ground myself in this moment.

I can listen gently to my inner guidance.

Eyebrow.

Side of the eye,

My ear doesn't need to look like everyone else's.

Under the eye,

I can choose what feels aligned for me.

Nose,

I trust myself to adjust along the way as I go through the year.

Chin,

I choose softness instead of pushing or chasing.

Collarbone,

Maybe something is already shifting within me.

And we are just going to pause here for a moment.

So just carry on tapping on your collarbone.

Breathing softly.

We're going to ask ourselves an inner question,

Which is,

What wants to align for me this year?

What wants to align for me this year?

You don't need to look or search for anything specific.

There's nothing that you need to work out right here,

Right now.

We're just opening to that inner wisdom,

That inner guidance.

So just notice what's happening,

Notice your body,

Your breath,

Your emotions.

As you ponder that question,

What wants to align for me this year?

So is there even a small sense of softening here?

Maybe there's a little more space.

A quiet knowing or feeling of,

Okay,

That's enough for now,

I'm opening.

Or you have a sense of what does want to align for you.

And if there's nothing there or nothing is clear,

That's absolutely okay too.

You know,

You don't need to have an answer today.

Sometimes,

Especially with tapping,

We find that clarity arrives a little later on.

So it might be a conversation or an insightful thought that you have.

It might be a feeling in the body.

Just a really gentle sign from the universe over the coming days or weeks.

Just know that for now,

It's enough to be open.

So you're just open to noticing.

Okay,

Well done.

So back to tapping,

Moving now to under the arm.

I don't need to force alignment.

Top of the head.

I feel a little more steady.

A little more grounded.

Okay,

Let's do one final round now with some lovely affirmations.

So tapping on the eyebrow.

I trust the timing of my life.

My year.

Side of the eye.

I'm open to nudges or signs that I'm on the right path.

I allow clarity to just emerge slowly,

Naturally.

I tune into how things feel in my body and let that guide me.

You know,

Our body's wisdom is amazing.

So let that be your little inner sat nav or soul nav.

Chin point.

I choose self-love over self-judgment.

Say that again.

Self-love over self-judgment.

Collarbone.

I align with my year ahead in a really gentle way.

Under the arm.

Knowing I can meet whatever comes my way with calm,

Grounded presence.

Top of the head.

I trust myself and alignment is unfolding.

Let's say that last one again.

I trust myself and alignment is unfolding.

Okay,

Now you can stop tapping.

Place one or both hands just on your heart centre.

Gentle breaths.

Just take a moment to notice what shifted.

Maybe there is a softening,

A steadiness,

A little space inside.

Maybe some of that pressure has been released.

Maybe you did gain some clarity.

Feeling a little more aligned already.

Well done.

So as we've tapped here together today,

We've really shared our intentions,

We've shared that regulation together.

And that collective energy continues to support you beyond this session.

So you can carry this feeling now into your day,

Your week and your year ahead.

Just knowing that that alignment doesn't come from forcing or rushing.

It comes from slowing down and listening.
