We're going to do a journey meditation.
We're going to go to a place that's going to be very familiar to you.
I want you to relax and just try to let go.
Let go of any tension in your body.
Let go of any thoughts that may be persisting in your mind at this moment.
Just try to really come to this place right here,
Right now.
Come to this place with me that I'm describing.
Just visualize as best you can the picture in front of you.
So close your eyes.
Sit up straight.
And imagine a view of a city.
This is a familiar city.
One that you've been to before.
The air is warm,
But there's a slight wind.
You can feel that wind blowing through your head.
And you can feel the sun just gently kissing your cheeks.
You see familiar faces.
And you hear familiar sounds.
You can hear the birds chirping.
And you can hear children laughing.
And you look around and just give a slight smile and nod to those familiar faces.
Then you're walking to a tree.
And at this tree there's a stream.
And there's a backpack right underneath the tree.
So you notice the backpack.
You walk over to it.
I want you to open the backpack.
In that backpack,
I would like you to pack up all the things that don't serve you in this moment.
Any negative energy.
Any bad habit.
Anything that you'd like to get rid of that does not serve you.
Think of all those things.
And one by one,
Place them into your backpack.
You're going on a journey.
Once you've finished packing everything up,
Things you don't need any longer,
Zip up your backpack.
Let's go for a walk.
There's a hill in front of us.
And at the top of this hill,
You see another tree.
And you notice the sound of a stream flowing.
And as you hear this stream flowing gently,
You decide that's where you want to go.
So you begin your journey up this hill with the backpack on your back.
Taking note of how heavy it is.
Knowing that it might be a strain for you to walk up this hill.
You will grow tired and you will grow weary.
We're going to continue on this hill.
You put one foot in front of the other and start moving.
To like a tree at the top of the hill.
If you're heavy backpack,
Full of things that no longer save you,
Things that have been weighing you down.
As you walk up the hill,
You again feel the warm air kissing your cheeks.
Suddenly the warm air starts to feel warmer as your body moves.
You begin to sweat.
The sounds of that familiar city are behind you and becoming more distant.
You feel the wind picking up.
And you see more clouds coming in the sky.
But you keep going,
One foot in front of the other.
Your legs start to ache and your feet start to feel a bit tired.
Your back is holding some tension.
And your shoulders are a bit achy because of this heavy backpack.
And you keep going,
One foot in front of the other.
Keep breathing.
Keep breathing.
As you get closer to the tree,
You can see the peak of this hill and you can hear the flow of the river even closer.
All of a sudden your back starts to feel lighter and you're more upright in your stance.
The sun begins to feel less harsh.
You wipe the sweat from your forehead and you carry on towards the top of the peak,
Bringing your backpacks and all of your breathings in.
With a few more steps,
You finally reach the peak of the mountain and you're looking down on that familiar city and gratitude to your body.
You see the familiar sounds,
Familiar faces.
You hear the familiar sounds.
You take your backpack off and your body immediately begins to feel lighter.
You stretch out your limbs.
You raise your arms high above your head and feel all the tension leaving,
Melting out of your body.
And then you put the backpack next to the tree.
You bend down and unzip it and you begin to take out all those things that don't serve you.
And one by one,
You pull them out and send them down the stream,
Floating away from you into the river.
One by one,
You're letting go each of these things that no longer serves you.
Letting go of burden,
Letting go of negative self-talk,
Negative energy from yourself and others.
Letting go of anything that is holding you back and you watch it flow down this river.
