Hello there,
Welcome.
My name is Stacey and I want to talk to you about having this mindset shift to really grow into this season as we come into April.
I like to think of this as a time to kind of revisit the intentions that we set maybe back in the beginning of the year and think of it in terms of a seed.
And the seed that we're going to plant can be much like a seed that we put in a garden,
But this seed we're going to put into our heart and we know that it's not going to crack open and bloom into greatness right away,
That there has to be some things that get done to provide the water,
The sunshine,
And the things to make that seed grow.
And so as I plant seeds in my garden outside,
I am intentional with making sure that they have the proper amounts of water and sunshine.
So when I think about the heart garden and the seed that I have growing in my heart,
I need to provide sunshine and water to the seed just like I do outside.
And so one of my sunshines is going to be a daily gratitude that is going to feed my seed,
It is going to help my seed crack open and ripen and eventually grow.
And then the other thing that I'm going to provide in the form of water to my seed,
In addition to the gratitude being the sunshine,
The water is going to be presence.
I'm going to be present with what's around me,
With my thoughts,
My feelings,
Presence and gratitude for me is going to grow the seed in my heart.
So this month,
I want you to think about,
Is there something that you would like to grow?
And as the months go on,
And the season of growth happens,
We will eventually get to the harvest in four or five months.
And my hope is that as you provide the sunshine and water to your seed,
Perhaps it'll be gratitude and presence,
That what you're growing will come into this amazing crop of goodness.
So today's meditation,
I want to focus on the heart,
I want to focus on the idea of a seed,
I want to focus on gratitude and presence to support the seed.
Go ahead and drift your eyes closed.
Take a breath,
Doesn't have to be any big breaths,
Just take a breath.
And then bring your attention to your heart,
The heart space that surrounds the physical heart,
This bounty of goodness,
The source of love and light.
And if you have been following along with me last month,
We kind of cleared out all of the old stuff in the garden,
The things that might get in the way of growth,
Last year's stuff,
The twigs,
The trash,
The leaves,
All being represented as perhaps fear,
Frustration,
Disappointment,
We've cleared them out.
And now in this beautiful heart space,
You have this garden,
This bed,
This heap of soil,
That is rich and fertile,
And so ready to just to picture that in your heart.
And then imagine in your hand,
You're holding this beautiful seed.
And this seed represents something that you would like to grow in your life,
Whether that's love,
Patience,
Understanding,
Hope,
Opportunities,
Financial changes.
Imagine putting that seed in between your index finger and your thumb and holding it,
Knowing that it is your greatest intention.
Imagine taking that seed and placing it into the soil gently,
Pushing it down deep enough so that the wind doesn't take it,
Life doesn't sweep it away.
Maybe patting it down gently with the palm of your hand,
Tucking it in nice and cozy to this beautiful garden in your heart.
The seed will soon become everything that you hope it to be.
But all seeds need sunshine and water.
As you pat the seed into the garden,
Decide for yourself,
What will be your sunshine?
What will be your water?
And each and every day make a commitment to returning to the seed,
Dousing it with water,
Or presence,
Providing it with sunshine by gratitude.
We know that seeds take time to crack open,
To grow baby little roots,
To have the sprouting little seedling emerge,
It takes time.
Each and every day it needs water and sunshine.
So I know,
And I believe that the seed that is in your heart will grow.
I believe that.
I believe that the water and the sunshine that you choose to nurture your seed is perfect.
Take a breath.
Empty the breath.
I invite you to spend a few moments each and every day bringing your attention back to this garden in your heart,
Back to your water and your sunshine.
Spend time with your seed.
Maybe write down the intention.
Write down what represents water and sunshine.
And just as we go out into our physical garden,
We provide the seeds what they need to grow into a harvest of bounty,
Nourishment.
We must do the same for what's in our heart.
Have a beautiful,
Blessed day.
And I look forward to seeing what grows.
Take care.
