Hello and welcome to this grounded meditation.

In today's session we will do a simple meditation which we will be able to use whenever we need to center ourselves and relax.

This meditation can also be used to get rid of excess energy or even after astral journeys.

We will be using the earth to help us regain our balance,

So please find a comfortable position,

Ideally sitting on the ground,

But you can also use a chair or lay down on your back.

Make sure that you feel comfortable,

Safe and that you won't be disturbed.

Let's begin.

I want you to take a deep breath in and out.

Don't worry about pattern yet,

Just take really deep breaths and slowly close your eyes.

Keep breathing in and out and slow the rhythm a little bit now.

Take a deep breath in,

Hold it and breathe out slowly.

Again deep breath in,

Hold it and breathe out slowly.

Go in for a few more breaths.

While breathing slowly and deeply,

Take a moment to explore how your body feels.

Are there any tense spots?

Do you feel relaxed or are you nervous?

Does anything hurt?

Does everything feel just fine?

We are not trying to change anything.

Just become aware of our own bodies and how we feel.

It can be as quick or as in-depth as you want.

Scanning your whole body or just a couple of parts.

Whatever makes you feel comfortable.

Keep breathing slowly and deeply.

Feel now the surface beneath your body and where your body makes contact with the ground or the chair or bed.

The earth is alive and we are going to make a connection with it.

From whatever you are making contact with this surface,

I want you to imagine small roots growing out of you and slowly burying themselves into the ground.

These roots are going to grow bigger and longer,

Traveling through the ground deeper into the earth.

Feel these roots which are a part of you,

Making their way through the cool earth,

Through the different layers and growing towards the earth,

Creating an energetic connection.

From these roots,

Take in the slow and calming and cool energy of the earth.

Feel this energy pushing away any excess energy from your body.

Any energy that is stressful,

Noisy,

Unstable,

Send that back into the earth to be recycled.

Breathe in,

Take the earth's energy in,

Breathe out,

Send excess energy out towards the earth.

Make this exchange for a few more cycles,

For as long as you need,

Until you feel that you have the right amount of energy in you.

I'm going to let you focus on this exchange for a few moments,

But whenever you feel you are at the right balance,

Just go back to focusing on your breathing until I'm back.

Breathe in,

Take the earth's energy in,

Breathe out,

Send excess energy out towards the earth.

Very slowly,

I want you to bring the attention back to those areas you're in contact with the surface you're on,

Your feet,

Your legs,

Maybe your hips.

Slowly start pulling back the roots into your body.

Take your time,

There is no rush.

Bring the roots back through the layers of the earth,

Feeling the cool and dark ground until they have completely disappeared back into you.

Take a really deep breath in,

And feel the calmness in your body,

Breathe out slowly.

Once again,

Take a deep breath in and a hold,

And then breathe out slowly.

Start becoming aware of your body once again,

The pressure of the floor or the chair under your body,

How your muscles feel,

And slowly become aware of any sounds or noises around you.

Keep bringing yourself back into this moment,

Into this reality,

And in your own time,

Whenever you're ready,

Open your eyes slowly and gently,

And stretch and move your body to bring yourself fully back from the meditation.
