Hello and welcome.
My name is Spencer.
Today I wanted to share a short message about this idea of collapse and renewal that Michael Mead talks about,
But also other people have talked about.
Where things are falling apart.
Deconstruction,
Breaking things down,
And at the same time new creation,
Rebirth,
Rebuilding is occurring.
And often in between those two,
There's a liminal space.
And the duration of that liminal space can vary from a few weeks to a few years.
But what seems to be occurring,
What I'm noticing in the different spaces that I'm connected to,
Is that there's this.
Collapse breaking down and building up at the same time the rebirth.
And things are just kind of overlapping.
One way I like to put it is we're trying to build the runway as the airplane is taking off.
And it feels crazy sometimes,
Honestly.
So in this time of rapid change.
.
.
And people are being invited to reinvent themselves,
Step into something new,
But also close things out.
And some things.
Sometimes that's just old ideas or old beliefs that simply no longer serve.
And I think all of this can feel very disruptive and very scary,
Honestly,
For the false self,
The ego self.
And so.
.
.
Just for a moment if you find yourself in this space.
I just invite you to take a moment of sacred pause and be here with me now.
So we'll just take a moment just to settle in.
I'm out here in Montana here and I love just connecting,
Coming out in nature.
And so hopefully.
.
.
Some type of transmission that will come through here.
Wherever this may find you.
And really the prayer for me today is I'll be able to speak some words of support and we'll walk through a meditation here in a moment.
And also that the land here can really support me and also You might be able to feel some type of connection here as I'm out here on the land.
So go ahead and take a moment just to settle into your body,
Into your breath.
Take a few deep breaths in.
You might soften your gaze.
If today finds you in some type of chaos or difficulty.
You might notice that you've been invited to maybe not even invited,
But life has kind of just create a circumstance for you.
To close something out.
To release something.
So that something new can be birthed,
And maybe you're right in the middle of transition.
I just want you to see if you can identify.
.
.
Whereabouts you are in this process.
And you might find yourself skipping around.
In one moment you might notice some opening happening where you can feel and sense and get a glimmer or a glimpse of the new life that's wanting to emerge.
At the same time,
You might also be in the liminal space,
Or you kind of go back to that liminal space.
It's very much a gradient.
It's not a black and white,
We're in this stage and that stage.
So just take a moment Breathe in deeply and notice where you are in this process.
There's no right or wrong here.
It's just to notice.
Non-judgmental awareness.
And as you're breathing in,
See if you can release any tension in your body.
And tuning in.
Where are you in this process?
Can you name that,
Identify it?
And then the next thing is,
Can you bring loving awareness?
Or acceptance.
To where you are in this stage of the process that you find yourself in today.
Whether that's being asked to close something out.
In the in-between liminal space.
Or you're in the process of stepping into something new.
Sometimes even stepping into the new thing that we've been waiting for.
And feel scary.
It can feel unsettling to the nervous system because it's something unfamiliar.
So just take a moment to breathe that in.
Can you bring that spacious awareness to where you are?
That acceptance of where life has brought you in this moment.
All right,
Breathe in deeper.
Noticing in the body again where there might be tension or tightness,
Grasping or clenching.
And if it's helpful,
You can definitely move gently and slowly.
If there is any movement that needs to occur.
Again,
Just releasing and relaxing any tension.
Really not trying to force anything here.
Not trying to force relaxation.
Just being gentle,
Just noticing the subtle sensations in the body.
Habitually,
There might be places in the body that tense up.
As you're preparing for something new.
There might also be places in the body that tense and tighten up.
As You're being asked to release something.
There might be a resistance there.
So just noticing that.
Or might be also in the in-between spaces.
Where we're stepping across the threshold but not fully into the next thing.
That can be somewhat disorienting to the nervous system.
There might be some waves of panic.
Or other types of activation,
Stress.
Which might also lead then to some type of shutting down,
Collapsing.
In your body,
In your system.
So noticing that.
And bringing awareness to how you might be able to tend to your body.
In this season that you've identified that you're in.
Can you tune in?
And notice.
Or listen.
To any messages.
That your body.
.
.
Is giving you.
So you can support your body as it supports you in walking this season.
So listen in for a moment.
What is your body?
Speak it.
Saying.
And notice if you have.
Any judgement?
If any shame comes up or blaming yourself.
Bring in compassion.
For where you are.
And what you've been able to do so far.
So releasing any judgment,
Releasing any shame.
Listening to the body.
Tuning in to what it needs to support you.
And can you,
With grace and compassion,
Offer that to the best of your ability.
Offer those things to your body that it's requesting.
Just tuning in.
To what the needs are.
You don't have to figure out all the hows.
And all the logistics and strategy.
Just tuning in.
To the general direction that you feel guided.
To go.
The actions you feel guided to take.
So taking another deep breath in.
Thanking your body,
Thanking your breath.
Breathing out,
And if you want to just gently open your eyes.
And just let's remain here for a moment.
Were there messages that came through?
What did come through for you?
And can we lean in and trust in those messages,
Those signals?
Of the body is giving us right now.
And some of them might be just signals or messages of,
I'm scared.
I don't know what's going to happen.
And you can turn back and say,
It's okay.
So can you bring that love and kindness?
To the fears that might be coming up,
Some of those energies that are new and uncomfortable for your system.
It's still adjusting.
In any type of change,
Whether you're in that letting go and releasing or the liminal space or stepping into something new.
All of those stages require new ways to think,
New ways to be,
And new ways to tend to the body.
Because it's different,
It's new and uncomfortable.
Sometimes for the body.
I don't know,
Maybe you can just flow with it and you're good,
But I think a lot of us really do struggle sometimes.
To adjust to certain changes that are occurring in life,
In our lives,
Personal lives and interpersonal lives,
And in the wider world around us.
So really tuning in today and noticing,
Paying attention to the body and the system.
And recommitting really to take care.
Of your system,
Of your body in this season of change.
And One last thing I'll just mention here is that it's so critical to get out of our heads,
Especially during this time of change and transformation,
And how do we tune in to the subtle energies?
How do we calm the mind,
Get into the body more?
And this is where I love meditation and mindfulness.
And also really what came through today too was encouragement to do some type of movement.
I don't know what that might look like for you,
But I do find that in times of transition,
Movement,
Gentle movement,
Or more,
You know,
Working out or other strenuous things,
Maybe you will say.
I mean,
Do what feels natural and good for you.
But maybe there is some movement.
I hesitate to say the word exercise,
You know,
But just movement,
Dance.
It can be fun.
It doesn't have to be like this serious thing.
Right?
Just what is the body inviting you to do and how can that movement support you in this transition time?
So I'll just leave that here with you today.
Thank you so much for joining me today,
And I wish you all the best in your journey.
