What's good,
Legend?
Rapper Biggie Smallz says that we can't change the world until we change ourselves.
This change that he speaks of starts with how we think about ourselves and our ability to do amazing things in this world.
The ancestor of every action is a thought.
The thoughts that we think lead to the actions that we take.
The actions that we take consistently become our habits.
Our habits eventually dictate our reality.
In case you forgot,
The purpose of this meditation is to remind you that you are a powerhouse capable of massive,
Consistent action.
The only thing that's gonna hold you back from doing extraordinary things in this lifetime is you.
So with that understanding,
Let's get it.
Today,
We will use affirmations and contemplate a bit as we check in on our mental garden.
In the process,
Hopefully we can flesh out the roots that we need to weed out,
And we can begin to water the plants that will allow us to become our best selves.
Let's start by getting into a comfortable meditation position.
Try to be relaxed,
Yet alert,
And ready to explore your inner world.
We will begin with three collective breaths together.
An inhale for a count of four,
An exhale for a count of four.
Kick this thing off with a nice inhale for a count of one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Fill up.
Exhale.
Last breath,
Inhale.
Exhale.
I want you to release that technique and just begin to find a normal cadence.
Let's plant some seeds of empowerment right now.
Repeat after me to yourself,
And as you listen to these words and repeat them,
I really want you to try embody their meanings as deeply as you can.
I'm capable of creating the life of my dreams through my daily actions.
I am strong and capable of doing hard things.
I am one of one and bring tremendous value to this world.
My body is amazing and capable of doing such amazing things.
I'll remember this as I chase my goals.
I'm exactly where I need to be right now and I'm on my way.
I'm surrounded by love and I am love.
I have all the people,
Places,
And tools necessary to achieve success.
I want you to just spend a moment just repeating those to yourself.
Maybe one of them stood out to you more than the others.
Just ingrain it in your being.
Now we're gonna take some time and go into a contemplation section,
And I really want you to dive into the memory bank here.
What's a situation that you've been through that you never thought you'd be able to bounce back from,
But yet here you are pushing through today?
We never take the time to celebrate ourselves.
What's one thing that you absolutely love about yourself or a character strength that you can celebrate right now?
One of the biggest mistakes we make as humans is waiting around to be ready.
Readiness is an illusion that holds people back from doing extraordinary things.
What's one lofty goal or aspiration that may be scary,
But you know it's time for you to step up to the plate and conquer?
You're ready,
My friend.
Your time is now.
And when we're putting things off for the future,
It's time for us to master the present and show up and take action and take what's ours.
We're gonna end this meditation just as we started it,
With three collective breaths together.
Let's start off with the inhale for one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Last breath,
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
As you sit here,
I'm gonna finish up with a quick story.
There's a guy,
He walks to the back of a circus where they keep the elephants.
He sees a massive elephant,
And it's only being held by a small stake and a flimsy piece of rope.
He asks the people who work at the circus,
How is this even possible?
How is this massive animal being held in place by this small object?
What they tell him is that when that elephant is a baby,
The small stake and rope are strong enough to hold it.
So no matter how hard it tries to break free,
It can't.
So eventually,
It just gives up.
As they grow,
They're conditioned to believe that they can't break away.
So they just adopt this belief that it's impossible to break free.
Why am I telling you this?
Well,
Because the storylines that we tell ourselves matter.
The thoughts that we allow to take root,
They either hold us in place or they spur us along to take action and become a higher version of ourselves.
So as you leave this meditation and as you enter into your day,
I need to ask you two questions.
What are the ropes that are serving you right now?
And what are the ropes that you need to break free of and run off into the sunset because you're a powerful,
Majestic elephant?
Remember your greatness as you enter into the world today.
Let's get it.
