Hello and welcome to this collective reading. One card reading. My name is Simone and today we are pulling from the Angels and Ancestors Oracle deck. This is a collective reading that is for everyone listening to this and it's timeless so whether or not you are listening to this right when it's published or a year later it still counts for you. Today our card is the Eagle. The Eagle asks us to take a look at whatever situation we're going through and to see it from a higher perspective. Try looking at things from a different angle. Try seeing things from a perspective of yourself ten years from now. What is this little bump in the road really? Is it really as big as it seems where we are right now? Whenever I pull these kinds of cards that ask us to place things in perspective it reminds me of my son who's four years old. Whenever something exciting is coming up for him like a trip to the dinosaur museum or something like that he can get really anxious and excited and ask us repeatedly when is it gonna be? When is it gonna be? When are we gonna go? And because he doesn't really have the full concept of time being only four years old we can say something like oh we'll be going in five days but for him that could be an eternity. He has no idea really what that means. We try to frame it in terms of if you go to sleep five times then it'll be time to go but it's hard for him to get that concept because really a day is a very high portion of his life compared to mine. I've lived many more days in my life than he has and one day can feel like an eternity. Whatever you're going through right now it's probably helpful to remember that you may be like my little child or any little child at four years old. Not being able to see the full picture of your life. Ask your 10-year self yourself 10 years from now. You know is this situation as big as I'm making it out to feel? The eagle reminds us to take a larger perspective on our life and to look at the forest and not just the trees. In animal medicine both from Native American and Celtic traditions the eagle draws its power and its strength from the Sun. It's associated with being smart, Being poised, Taking a dive and attacking when you need to but overall being able to see for many miles and to be able to see a lot from a far distance. It plans and thinks and has great power and strength and even courage. It can make a plan before taking action on that plan and so when this eagle card arrives to us it tells us that we have the ability to take that step back to ask ourself mmm you know 10 years from now how is this little moment in my life going to feel? Can I release a little bit of the ego desire to feel fear because feeling fear after all is one of the ways that the ego protects itself and thus it is an ego desire feeling fear sometimes. Not always but sometimes. When the eagle card shows up it says you know we may have a slightly skewed view of this situation. It may be like that five days that a toddler has to wait to get what they want. Insurmountable when in reality we know as adults five days is not that long. Is there a chance that your own desperation to resolve this situation is blocking you or keeping you from seeing the opportunities in this situation? Try looking perhaps even from the perspective of other people in the situation or in your life right now. What are they seeing from their perspective? Are you needing something to change where in you are treating a situation with more integrity than you are at the moment? The eagle reminds us of the importance of integrity and strength and boundaries thus inviting you to set boundaries even from the place of higher perspective with love for those around you and for yourself.
