Welcome to this meditation on safety and trauma healing inspired on the root chakra.

We'll begin this meditation by simply connecting your feet to the ground.

This can be standing or seated with your feet and your soles flat on the ground.

Bringing awareness to your pelvic bowl right down the bottom.

From this space begin visualizing the color red.

It could be a red light or a red jewel.

Almost down near your tailbone begin visualizing how this color red expands and grows.

Staying with your breath and keeping a strong connection with your feet on the earth.

Feel how this color red begins to expand and flow all the way down your legs.

Going all the way down your legs is color red.

It becomes almost like a string that goes from your body down your legs all the way down past your feet out your soles and then deep down into the earth.

This strong color red connecting you down down down down deep down into the earth.

As this color goes down into the earth it connects with a big red jewel at the bottom of the earth connecting you down to the earth.

And as you breathe notice how energy flows from the center of the earth all the way up to your legs and as you move through the rest of the day the rest of your life you're always going to have this connection between you and the earth.

The strong stable earth.

Signifying to you that not only are you safe that you have a right to be here.

Say this to yourself a few times out loud or inside I am safe.

I have a right to be here.

Keeping the red connection down to the earth I say I have a right to be here.

Push your feet down into the earth feel the feedback from the floor as energy shoots up your spine pull your shoulders back.

One last time I am safe and I have the right to be here.

Stand up or take a step forward and move forward knowing that you're carrying with you this red connection to the earth.
