A guided meditation to help with the symptons of the menopause such as anxiety and hot flushes/flashes. This meditation will take you to a place of calm and peace and help cool you down when hot flushes/flashes occur. Cool and calm.

Welcome to this guided meditation to help with anxiety and hot flushes related to the menopause.

This meditation will take you to a place of calm and help cool you down when you need it.

Before you begin,

Find yourself a comfy chair to sit in and make sure that you won't be disturbed.

So switch off your phone and your laptop and prepare to take some time just for you.

And if you are at work and feeling the effects of the menopause,

You might want to take 10 minutes out and just listen to this meditation.

Do not listen to this meditation while driving or operating any kind of machinery.

So if you are sitting comfortably,

Let us begin.

So just focusing on your breath for a few moments,

Taking a deep breath in and out.

And again a deep breath in and out.

Gently blowing the air out so you can just hear it.

And allowing your body to relax now deeper and deeper.

Allowing your head to relax,

Your face,

Your cheeks and your mouth.

Allowing the feeling of relaxation to flow into your neck and shoulders.

Releasing all the tension there.

And relaxing into your chest.

Allowing your breath to deepen into your abdomen,

Your internal organs.

Just releasing and relaxing now deeper and deeper.

And relaxing your arms,

Your hands and down to your fingers.

And sending that feeling of peace and relaxation into your hips,

Your bottom.

Moving down your legs,

Your calves,

Your feet and down to your toes.

Feeling so calm and so relaxed now.

And the more you hear my voice,

The deeper your sense of relaxation gets.

That's right.

Very good.

And now I want you to imagine yourself on a quiet pathway.

And as you look along the path,

You can see a castle in the distance.

And you're going to be making your way along the path to the castle easily and effortlessly.

And as you walk along the path,

You are amazed at the beauty of the scenery.

You can see magnificent trees along the path.

Standing tall and strong with an ancient knowledge inside.

As you look up,

The sky is blue and the sun is shining down.

And you feel the warmth of the sun on your face.

And you feel a cool summer breeze in your hair.

As you listen,

You can hear birds singing and the distant sound of a stream with water bubbling along.

And as you breathe in,

You smell the fragrance of the summer flowers wafting in the air.

And you carry on walking along the path,

Making your way to the castle.

And the castle is getting nearer and nearer.

And as you approach the castle,

You notice some steps that lead down to a secret door to the castle.

So standing on those steps now,

There are ten steps.

And you walk down one step at a time.

And now on step nine.

Eight.

Seven.

Six.

Five.

Halfway down now,

Feeling so relaxed.

Four.

Three.

Two.

One.

And in front of you now is a large oak door.

The door opens and you walk inside.

And you find yourself in a beautiful room,

Filled with treasures and adorned with precious art on the walls.

Filled by candles and the candles give the room a beautiful glow and warmth.

And as you look to the middle of the room,

You see a pool filled with water and you make your way now to that pool.

The pool is inviting.

You sit at the side of the pool and take off your shoes and dangle your feet in the water.

The water is cool and you feel calm and relaxed.

As you watch the water turn the deepest red you have ever seen.

And you know this red is cleansing you from the stresses and worries of the day.

You feel your troubles slipping away from you out into the pool.

You feel safe and have everything you need.

And the water now turns the brightest orange color.

As you bathe your feet in this sunshine color you feel empowered and your creativity comes alive.

Just bathing in this beautiful orange color.

And you now notice the water turning a vibrant yellow color,

A color of buttercups and summer.

And you feel any fear or anxiety just slipping away as you connect with your personal power,

Your gut instincts.

And the water now turns to a beautiful green color like the grass on a summer's day after the rain.

And you feel a sense of compassion growing within you.

You think about your love for others and not forgetting yourself.

Feel your heart center expanding.

And the water now turns a royal blue color.

And you now have the freedom to speak your truth,

Tell others how you feel.

As the water now turns to an indigo color you feel complete and inspired and your intuition is heightened.

And now the water turns a violet white color and you feel your connection to all that is.

You feel at one with your soul,

Your divine essence of peace and calm.

And you now take off your clothes and immerse yourself fully into the cool waters of the pool.

Bathe in the coolness and the calmness.

Feeling so cool now.

Feeling so calm now.

And I will now be silent for a few minutes just to allow you to savor the coolness and the calmness of this pool.

Swoosh And every time you are feeling anxious or hot with the hot flushes,

You can take yourself back to this pool and get into the cool water which will immediately cool you down and release any anxiety as the water changes from red to orange to yellow to green to royal blue to indigo and to violet white.

And as the color changes the cooler you will get and the calmer you will feel.

This is your go to place for coolness and calm.

So just remembering this feeling of cool and calm.

And imagine you have a dial in your hand and you are turning up that dial,

Turning up that coolness,

Turning up that calmness and know that you can do this whenever you need to.

So feeling refreshed and completely calm you step out of the pool and beside you is the fluffiest white towel that you have ever seen and you dry your body on it.

You notice where your clothes were is now a cotton flowing white dress which is cool and comfortable.

You put on the dress and some white flip flops and start to make your way out of the room back to the oak door.

Walking up the steps and back onto the pathway all the way back now.

That's right feeling relaxed,

Feeling calm,

At peace and happy and cool.

You are now going to come back to the room and as I count back from five to one you will start to wake up and at one you will be fully awake.

Five,

Four,

More awake,

Three,

Two,

Wiggling your feet and hands.

Then you are completely awake now and welcome back.
