Pause for a moment.

Close your eyes.

Relax your body.

Breathe easily.

Accept that you are not the stress that you are feeling.

This stress cannot define you,

So why identify with it?

Stress comes in waves,

But you are a calm sea.

Why confuse the waves with the sea?

This storm will pass,

And yet you will still be just as you are.

Accept that nothing that happens changes your absolute purity.

Realize that you are a pure presence,

Pure without anything diminishing you,

Present because you are always already aware.

Now realize that you are simply a beautiful being of light,

Shining attentively on this amazing display of life,

Your life,

Right now.

Realize how insignificant that stress that was coursing through you is.

It arises,

But it will always end.

You continue,

Always.

Accept the love that you feel for this life,

That you are blessed with.

Allow yourself to feel perfect,

Just as you are,

And realize that you are deeply and unconditionally loved.

Now open your eyes and all your senses and smile at the wonder of all this you have been blessed with right now.

I needed this So Badly. I was feeling so bad that I couldn’t manage to put any decorations outside before Christmas, and I’m not working, but I’m not well either. With your meditation, I was able to drop my self induced stress in trying to make initially a perfect Christmas, down graded to a good Christmas and now I find that I’m just really tired. Then when you said that I was loved unconditionally I started to cry because my family is completely the opposite. And the friends that I have that would assure of that are busy with their own lives. That’s answers my inner question of whether I would go to Mass — yes, I desperately miss my God who loves me unconditionally just the way I am right now. Thank you so much for reminding me. I liked this meditation but I’m a little guarded, mostly because it brought some questions that I never thought before. I bookmarked the instructor so I can look for other meditations or talks to understand more of his philosophy. Thank you.
