Morning meditation for a positive day.
Find yourself a comfortable position,
Whether that be laying down,
Sitting,
However you feel your body needs to be supported today.
Take your time to settle into the pose.
Close the eyes down,
Soften and relax the face.
And allow the shoulders to release away from the ears.
And let's begin by taking a few deep breaths to calm our mind and connect to our breath.
Taking a nice deep breath in and a slow exhale out.
Deep breath in and exhale out.
One last deep breath in and exhale to release out.
Allowing your breath to settle on its own natural rhythm.
We are going to set an intention for the day.
Whether it be a day of peace,
Self-love,
Of patience,
Of gratitude.
Finding a word that suits your intention for this day.
Focusing on this word as you connect to your breath.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
And remembering if your mind begins to wander to thoughts of the day ahead or maybe feelings or emotions arise.
Greet these with a sense of compassion and self-acceptance.
Acknowledge your thoughts or emotions and then release and bring your focus back to the breath.
And back to your intention for this day.
Remind yourself that today you have the power to choose thoughts of positivity.
Removing any obstacles that stand in your way.
Allow the following affirmations to gently wash over you or if you wish you may like to repeat them to yourself.
I have all that I need to make today a great day.
As I take on new challenges I feel calm,
Confident and powerful.
I am thankful for what I have even if it is not perfect.
Today I focus on what makes me feel good.
And for the final few moments of this meditation I invite you to really focus on the breath.
As you inhale you are filled with positive energy.
And as you exhale you are releasing any fears,
Worries or tension.
Inhale to feel calm,
Clear and positive.
Exhale to release fear,
Worries and tension.
And as we draw to the end of this meditation I invite you to bring some gentle movement to your fingers and your toes.
Bring your awareness back into the room and the space around you.
Deepen the breath to drop into the belly and awaken the body.
And on your next exhale slowly open your eyes coming back into the moment ready to embrace and have a wonderful day ahead.
Thank you.
