My name is David Briggs.
Welcome to this meditation for immediate relief from panic.
Today we're going to use visualization and gently walk our way through a lavender field to bring us calm and serenity.
As you find a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down,
Close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Allow your body to begin relaxing as you prepare your journey through this meditation.
Let's begin by taking a few deep breaths,
Inhaling peace and exhaling any tension.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
One last time,
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Allow your breathing to return to its natural rhythm,
Feel your body grounded and present.
Feel yourself becoming more relaxed and open to tranquility.
Now in your mind's eye,
Imagine yourself standing at the edge of a vast beautiful lavender field.
The sky above is clear with a soft blue and the sun gently warms your skin.
As you step into the field,
Notice the vibrant purple of the lavender flowers stretching out as far as the eye can see.
With each step,
Become aware of the lavender's rich,
Soothing scent.
Let it fill your senses,
Calming and centering your mind.
Feel the gentle brush of the lavender flowers against your hands as you walk.
Listen to the soft whisper of the plants swaying in the gentle breeze.
This place is a sanctuary,
A haven from the outside world,
A place you can visit whenever you need to.
Continue to walk through the field,
Feeling the earth beneath your feet.
With every step,
You sink deeper into a state of peace and calm.
The color purple,
Known for its soothing quality,
Envelops you in a sense of safety and serenity.
Let the beauty and tranquility of this place wash over you,
Making you feel at ease and calm in your heart.
Now stand still within the calming lavender field and focus on your breathing.
Imagine each breath drawing in the calming energy,
Scent and color of the lavender field into your body.
With each breath out,
Release any feelings of panic or anxiety.
Now pause for a moment and find a spot to sit among the lavender.
Breathe in the peace of this place and affirm to yourself,
I am calm,
I am safe,
I am at peace.
Let these words echo in your mind,
Reinforcing your sense of tranquility.
Now when you are ready,
Gently bring your awareness back to your body.
Feel what is beneath you and the air around you.
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
A bell will ring to end this meditation.
When you are ready,
Slowly open your eyes and carry this sense of calm and serenity into your heart.
Remember you can return to this beautiful calming lavender field whenever you need to.
