Thank you for being with me and joining me in this meditation.
As we begin,
I invite you to allow your body to settle in.
With every breath,
Relax the muscles in your face and jaw.
Feel a sensation of ease gently glide throughout your body.
Feel each of your cells loosen and release tension as life is breathed into you.
Relax and breathe.
Today,
I invite you to think of your life as having two acts.
The first act may represent the past and the second act the future.
So every moment we find ourselves in this intermission of the present.
We will begin by reflecting on the first act.
The opening act of your life was one where you survived by relying on the teaching of others.
You were at the mercy of your environment.
In order to survive,
You submitted to the norms and judgment of what you were told was right and wrong.
The stories and experiences you had impacted the moral compass you weren't aware you needed to exist.
You simply desired play,
Discovery,
And exploration.
This opening act had moments that aligned with your desires while other situations pulled you further from innocence.
Breathe.
During your first act,
You maneuvered the best way you could,
The only way possible for you at the time.
There is no need to judge yourself for your actions,
For they kept you safe.
Whatever you did during your first act allowed you to continue living,
Feeling,
And breathing.
Those actions have given you a chance to see life for exactly what it is.
Breathe.
The world and all of those in it who influenced you during your first act were doing their best with what they were given in their first act.
Some knew no better while others may have targeted important moments that impacted your growth and excellence.
You took it all in like a dedicated student of life.
You made choices the only way you knew how.
You led the only life you could lead.
Perhaps now you are aware that in act one the design was to remove your control.
Breathe.
There is no need to fear the past nor blame any characters who helped write the script.
You may take each moment as a lesson learned and use those lessons to guide your actions as you move forward.
Each moment of life in the opening act brought you opportunities for growth.
They shaped your views,
Neither good nor bad,
Neither for nor against you.
They were simply a part of the process.
Breathe.
The opening act is one we must all go through.
It is a rite of passage to continue existing in every moment that succeeds it.
For all those moments combined have led you here,
Back to yourself,
A place considered home or a place within you that you may be reuniting with.
Nothing was lost or wasted in your opening act.
Everything happened as intended,
Exactly for you.
The struggles,
The trials,
And tribulations were all meant for you as were the joys and the moments of bliss.
None of what happened was because you deserved it.
Rather,
It simply was what it was.
Breathe.
Take a deep breath and relinquish the burden of responsibility for the opening act.
You were simply a new character navigating a new world.
You began this human existence with excitement and awe.
Before long,
Though,
You learned of fear and danger.
While you experienced happiness and safety,
You also experienced loss and betrayal.
All of these experiences served as tools of learning so that you may fulfill your destiny during your second act,
Which you may just now be coming aware of.
The opening act in your life,
However long it lasted,
Was based on an intention that you did not control.
Still,
You learned in every way possible as that intention shaped your world.
It brought lessons that could not be denied,
Ones that are buried deep in your core,
And others that were fleeting.
They were moments that you lament to this day and experiences that brought so much ecstasy you dare not forget them.
All these moments have served a purpose.
Breathe.
As you watch the curtains close on the first act,
Take a moment to breathe and release everything that has come before.
As we pause in this moment,
May it be an intermission,
A chance to set a new intention.
For whatever comes next,
The second act will be written by you.
Yes,
There will still be influences from the opening act,
But those influences will no longer define your script in act two.
You get to decide how to interpret each prior lesson.
You get to choose how to respond.
You have the power to write the next chapter and control the ending,
Not in its outcome,
But in your approach.
Breathe.
This is the gift from the opening act,
A gift you may have lost sight of for many reasons.
Now you can see clearly,
Not just with your eyes,
But also with your heart.
Every moment in act two is an opportunity for you to write your destiny in the stars,
Laid with your belief and cemented with your actions.
You decide how to move forward and what progress looks like,
Feels like,
And feels like.
And what dreams are worthy of your effort and attention.
Breathe.
I invite you to take a moment to declare your worth.
Silently repeat to yourself the following words of affirmation.
By divine decree,
I am worthy of all that I desire.
I am not my past,
Yet I respect what lessons it has taught.
I am writing my future by recognizing and claiming my power in the present.
It is my responsibility to create,
To feel,
To embrace,
And to embark on all life has to offer.
Breathe.
Take another moment here to notice anything in your heart that is ready to be released into the ether of the universe,
For it is listening.
It is always listening and ready to help.
All you need to do is ask.
This time,
This second act belongs to you.
Breathe.
May the closing of act one be a moment of joyous celebration,
For act two has arrived,
Granting you control of the story of your life.
Embrace this moment and heed these words as you do.
The second act doesn't just belong to you,
For it may serve as act one for someone new.
