Sound Bath Sessions 066: Minnie Cheung

Minnie splits her time between travelling South America, Mexico, HK and the rest of the world actively seeking and learning about the cultures there and their ancient beliefs of the power of nature, sacred rituals, and exploring our own consciousness. Her IG is well documented and offers some insight to her travels, but you just have to meet her to hear about her explorations in the wilderness, and her discoveries within her own psyche.

In this recording, I placed the mics on the floor as one would hear when lying in front of the bowls. The way she plays the bowls as she swipes the rim lets it ring at a certain point so that it sounds as if she strikes it, but without striking it. It sounds like a reversed audio sample and something I never noticed before. Intentional or not, it sounded pretty nice.
