'Possibility' After Azmi's sessions Swami Arun @ arrived with Maddy. I contacted him last year when I learned that he was visiting Hong Kong. Unfortunately, I was not able to record him and I was so happy that our paths crossed once again to finally do it. His journey began when he had an epiphany working as a photographer in Australia. 'Go learn the Digeridoo' was the message and so he did. He had a similar epiphany in India to learn singing bowls, and so he did. After several years, he heard his first gong in Japan and that was it. He taught himself the gong and eventually developed his own style called 'cosmic gong' or 'hypnoloop cosmic gong'. Swami pushes limits of the gongs. Using different mallets, objects, and movements he discovers the hidden 'possibilities' of the gong. He has an amazing control of sound, like a sculptor with clay, molding it into new shapes and experiences. This session left me with my mouth agape. I didn't know what I had just experienced.
