Today we're working on the power of saying no.
Opting out is choosing.
Part of standing in your power is knowing when to say no.
As a human being,
Every moment matters.
There is no time to be wasted.
In order to experience your life in the most fulfilling way,
We suggest you disengage from all that is not pleasing,
Enlightening,
Authentic,
Or real.
Sort,
Sift,
Let go,
And say no until only your true purpose remains.
The universe.
You know,
Recently I watched,
It's an older movie,
Jim Carrey movie,
I think it's called Yes Man,
And it was based on a book of a very similar,
That name or similar name,
And the idea is that the person says yes to every single thing the universe puts in their path.
And this is one way to do it,
This is one way to approach flow.
And sometimes things can work in a fairly amazing way when you do this,
When you just say yes to everything.
You don't discern,
You just are like,
Well,
The universe put in my path,
I'm going to say yes.
Can lead to a lot of adventures.
I know a person who by the power of saying yes was able to arrange an entire year of travel for free just by one or two so-called coincidences that led to this opportunity.
So the power of yes,
I agree,
And also the power of no,
Taking the different approach,
Taking the other side of the equation,
Which is when we know our true calling and our true purpose,
Then we don't allow ourselves to be distracted by everything that comes our way.
For example,
If you know that you're supposed to be a writer,
A lot of people have interest in writing,
Then if you know that this is your true calling,
If this is your true passion,
Then you're going to start saying no to all the things that are hovering around,
Getting in the way of your ability to write and to spend time writing.
If you have a job,
You may need to say no to that job,
Or you may need to put that job into a part-time position or do something differently so you can carve out that time to be a writer.
If you have young children,
You may need to create some kind of support so you get a few hours that you can work on your writing.
If you love watching sitcoms for hours and hours,
You may need to say,
You know what,
This is the time for writing.
So this power of saying no when you do know your vision so that you are only saying yes to your vision,
Your calling,
Your life's work,
Why you're here,
You're only saying yes to this,
To the best of your ability,
Because of course the universe is always going to have some surprises.
But if you focus on,
You focus on the prize,
You focus on the goal,
You focus on the calling,
And you start saying no to everything else that's showing up.
You know,
Humans have this remarkable ability to keep ourselves busy with nothing.
We have this ability or this need to keep ourselves doing stuff that doesn't really matter,
Sometimes just because everyone else is doing it,
And sometimes because we are afraid of answering our true calling because,
You know,
What if we fail,
Or what if it doesn't work out,
Or what if it's scary,
Or what if we're not good enough.
And so we tend to put all these things ahead of our true calling or our true direction.
And here the messages are saying,
We suggest you disengage from all that is not pleasing,
Enlightening,
Authentic or real.
Sort sift.
Let go and say no until only your true purpose remains.
