This is a guided practice that takes you on a journey of the colours of the chakras. The concentration on each colour will help you balances the chakras, relax and go deeper within yourself. This audio can be listened as a meditation or as an aid to falling asleep.
I'm going to do some work on our chakras but let's just first of all just get ourselves into a really comfortable position that we can hold for 15 minutes so we need to sit up nice and tall we'll drop everything else down so making sure that the shoulders are free of any tension taking any movements in the neck and the head and then just coming to stillness and we're just going to notice the point of contact between the body and the floor and how to feel the contact with the earth so noticing the space underneath you and noticing the space above you noticing the space around you including the front and the back and then bring the awareness onto the breath we're not doing anything to the breath just yet just breathing in and out as normal let's just take those breaths a little bit deeper longer slower maybe more controlled one really deep breath through the nostrils and gently exhale through the mouth if you want to do Sai you can do fantastic so the first chakra that we're going to focus on is the root chakra and that's right at the base of the spine that's the connection with the earth and I'd like to think about a red ball of energy there and this is all about your emotional connection and sense of belonging stability and security it's really important at times like this we're just going to go through the chakras and their colours that's what we're focusing on really a red ball of energy right down through the centre of the body and that's an earth sign and then we're just going to gently move up to your sacral and if you think about your belly button it's probably about four centimetres just underneath that and that's orange so we're moving up now into an orange ball this is your emotional body your sensuality and your creativity all about your flow and your flexibility and it's a water sign just picture that orange glow getting a little bit stronger every time you breathe in excellent moving up to the solar plexus which is probably that much about four centimetres again above the belly button so right in that centre and this is yellow it's a fire sign it's about your sense of self your self-esteem just see if you can activate that area by breathing in and thinking about a yellow ball could be like a sun just having a couple of breaths in each one and then we're moving up to the heart chakra right in the centre and this one's green think about a green ball of energy behind there it's an air sign and it's all about compassion and joy and unconditional love and it's that love for yourself and love for other people when you breathe in activate the energy behind that space so moving up now into the throat and this is a blue turquoise it's about communication and expression blue turquoise ball of energy just in this throat area excellent well done so then we're moving into the third eye which is just a spot in between the eyebrows and this is a bluish purple see if you can generate that energy around in that space this is to do with perception of subtle dimensions the intuition and for me it's about how you connect with that deeper sense of self activating that space around there a couple of breaths just holding that space and then moving up to the crown of the head and this is ultraviolet so whatever that means for you and imagine that ball of energy just underneath that spot and this is to do with the connection with the universe and our spirituality so whatever that means for you couple of breaths here just activating that space and then let's just go through the colours again so let's start with the root chakra so this is that red ball of energy we're going to see if we can keep all the colours activated as we come all the way up so we've got this red one right down in the centre and we're moving up to the sacral which is just below the belly button that's the orange one the next one is the yellow solar plexus right in the centre then the heart which is green so we've got red orange yellow and green then moving up into the higher chakras we've got this blue turquoise bluish purple and then ultraviolet and see if you can activate all those and see each of those colours and we're just going to sit with those for a couple of minutes focusing on the breath just going to go all the way back down so first of all let's come through the crown ultraviolet and gently releasing anything we need to release there down to the third eye the bluish purple deep breath in and exhale releasing anything there coming down through the throat blue turquoise breathing that colour in and then gently relaxing and releasing then to the heart this green nice big exhale moving down to the solar plexus this yellow and the sacral which is the orange and then lastly back down into the roots and we'll spend a little bit more time here because we want to remain really grounded we've activated all the chakras but we want to remain grounded and we want to leave our meditation practice as grounded as possible so let's just activate that red ball of energy nice and strong allow it to spread a little bit wider coming into the hips and then down through the seat bones and into the air a nice deep breath in and exhale through the mouth the light within the honours and sees the light within you namaste take care everybody
