Hello,
Welcome back.
I'm Sarah,
A somatic facilitator and coach,
Here to help you build nervous system resilience so you can live up to your fullest potential with ease and confidence.
I'll be guiding you through meditation.
Breath works.
Visualization and deep rest so that you can explore the pause between where you've been and where you're going.
Welcome to liminal space.
Today I'll be guiding you on a journey through the seven chakras.
The energy centers of the body in yogic tradition.
Rising from the base of the spine.
All the way to the crown of the head.
You don't need to believe anything in particular for this practice to be useful.
Think of it simply as a map.
A way of listening to seven different areas of energy within you.
Some may feel open Some may feel quiet.
We're not here to fix or to force.
Just to visit each one and notice.
Find a comfortable position,
Seated or lay.
And then invite your body to be supported by whatever is beneath you.
Your bones grow heavy to the earth.
And your muscles melt around them.
And if it feels safe to do so,
Your eyes gently closed shut.
If you'd like to set a sankalpa,
An intention for this practice.
Sow that seed now.
Then gently draw your attention to the base of the spine.
The seat of the body the place where you meet the earth.
We begin at the root chakra,
Muladhara.
Imagine here a soft red glow.
Like embers.
This is the territory of safety,
Stability,
Belonging.
And then gently ask,
How grounded do I feel today?
No need to answer with words,
Just notice what the body says Take a few moments in this space.
The foundation of the body.
The base of the spine.
Raising your attention now to the space just below the navel.
Svadhisthana.
The sacral center.
A warm orange glow,
Like late summer light.
This is the territory of feeling,
Of flow,
Creativity and pleasure.
Notice what's there.
Sensation,
Movement.
Stillness,
Energy.
Taking a few breaths with your awareness fixed here.
Let the body be so.
Nothing to perform.
Nothing to hold.
Your attention slowly rises to the solar plexus.
The points between your navel and your ribs.
Manipura Chakra A golden light,
Like the sun at midday.
The territory of will,
Confidence and your inner fire.
And again,
Notice what's here.
Steadiness.
Perhaps a flickering of what was once burning.
All of it welcome.
Breathe into this center for a few moments and feel it gently radiate.
Not surging,
Not out of control.
But a gentle glow.
Now rising to the heart.
Anahata Chakra soft green light glows at the centre of your chest.
The territory of love.
Connection.
Compassion.
Both for others and for yourself.
Rest your awareness here a little longer.
Notice what's there may be worn.
More tenderness.
Perhaps it's difficult to sense anything obvious and that's okay too.
Breathe expansively into the front and the back of the heart.
Rising to the throat.
Ishuddha Chakra.
Clear blue light.
Territory of expression.
And communication.
The words you say.
And the ones you swallow.
Recognize the throat.
Is there a clear runway here or a gentle tightness?
Notice what's there.
Soften the jaw.
Let the tongue rest.
Breathe through this passage and let it open in its own time.
And we rise again to the space between the eyebrows.
Ajna chakra,
The third eye.
A deep indigo.
The territory of insight,
Intuition.
Quiet and knowing within.
Soften this space.
You don't need to see anything.
Just rest here,
Behind the eyes.
In the still darkness,
What's there?
And we rise one more time,
Finally the crown of the head.
Sahasrara Chakra a violet white light opening up toward the sky.
The territory of spaciousness.
Boundlessness.
Connection to something larger than yourself.
However you understand that.
Feel the space above you your energy becomes expansive.
Breathe into how this feels.
Now sense all seven centers at once,
All seven chakras.
Column of quiet delight from root to crown.
Orange.
Goal.
Green.
Loo indigo Violet the base of the spine enable.
Solar plexus.
Third eye.
Crown of the head.
Balance between them.
Just witness the whole of you.
Each and every territory exactly as it is right now.
Breathing into the full length of yourself.
Inhaling you feel the energy rise from the base of the spine to the crown of the head.
And as you exhale,
The energy seeps from the crown to the base of the spine.
Slowly let the colours fade.
And return to the simple feeling of your body resting here.
Notice how you feel physically Mentally.
Emotionally.
Energetically.
Meet yourself exactly how you are right now.
Bring your sankalpa into your conscious awareness.
Feeling it land into the body just as your body landed on the surface here today.
The more you practice noticing each of these areas,
The more you'll begin attuned to where your energy needs calling back.
Some days may be more focused on one particular area.
Other days it's about moving your energy through the whole map.
But wherever you find yourself in that particular moment.
It's about cultivating interoception,
The felt sense from the inside out.
That is how you'll move through the world with more intention,
More alignment begin to awaken your senses.
You can feel the surface beneath you You can hear the sounds both near and far.
And you feel the fingers and toes start to twinkle.
When you're ready,
Your eyes flutter open.
If this journey helped you listen to yourself a little more deeply,
Please share it with someone who might need it too.
Rest well and I'll see you next week.
