Welcome,
Dear friends.
This is Sarah and I'm so happy to be back with you again.
This is our guided and interactive practice for the solar eclipse and new moon in Sagittarius.
That's happening on the 14th of December in 2020,
Depending on where you are in the world.
As always,
This is a space for us to sit together,
To reflect,
To journal and to set some intentions for the weeks ahead.
If you haven't joined us before,
You can pause now and go grab a journal,
A notebook,
Just a piece of paper and a pen.
And you will need a pen and paper for this one because we're going to journal and we are going to draw a little picture too.
So if you need to pause now and go do that,
I'll wait for you.
And if you're here and you're ready,
Let's just take a deep breath.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
And just see if we can find a place of calm.
Find your center and feel a little bit grounded.
The end of 2020 has had some intense energies.
At the end of November,
We had that full moon and lunar eclipse in Gemini.
And right now,
We are betwixt the eclipses.
So we're in between two eclipses.
And that energy can feel quite unstable.
Big lunar eclipses can feel like the ending of something.
It can feel like the end of a cycle.
It can feel like completion.
It can feel like something is being taken away.
And when we're in this in between space,
We can't see yet what is to come.
But lunar eclipses always end something to make space for something new and something better to come in.
And it's our job at the moment to rest,
Relax,
Receive and allow.
Really make space for what wants to come in.
We also have Saturn at the moment and Jupiter.
In our final days in Capricorn,
They've reached the very last degrees of Capricorn.
And all year,
These two have been moving closer and closer together.
And on December 21st,
They are going to meet at zero degrees of Aquarius.
And to us,
If we see them,
They will look like they are right on top of each other.
They will be such a bright shining star in the sky.
And this is our reset point.
This is the beginning of a 200 year cycle of these conjunctions in our air signs.
These conjunctions happen only every 20 years,
And for the last 200 they've been in Earth signs.
This is a massive shift.
We have the opportunity just before this happens at the Newman and Sagittarius to think about our journey,
To think about our hero's journey.
Sagittarius is the archer.
It's joyful.
It's optimistic.
Sagittarius is a wanderer,
An explorer,
A philosopher and an adventurer.
And we have the opportunity now with this Newman and solar eclipse to begin our hero's journey,
Our quest,
Our deep dive of self discovery to find our truth.
Because that's what Sagittarius loves.
Let's take this opportunity to reset,
To wipe the slate clean and to bravely and boldly step forward.
So let's consider now your hero's journey.
The hero's journey is a monomyth that was written about by Joseph Campbell.
And it is the basis for most of our most loved stories.
If you have watched or read Harry Potter,
The Hobbit,
Lord of the Rings,
Star Wars,
All of these epic tales follow the hero's journey.
And it begins with a call to adventure.
So let's start by thinking about your hero's journey and your call to adventure.
And let's take two minutes to think about what you are being called to do.
As simple as that.
Just ask yourself that question.
I'll keep an eye on the time for you.
And I'll come back to you in two minutes.
What are you being called to do?
What are you being called to do?
You have one minute left.
You have one minute left.
You have one minute left.
When we answer the call to adventure,
We step out into a whole new and unknown world.
And that can be a scary place and a challenging place.
But it's also exciting.
It's brand new.
Let's think now about challenges.
If you answer this call to action,
To adventure,
What challenges might come up?
How can you overcome them?
Where might you be resisting this call to adventure,
This call to the highest and best version of yourself?
I'll keep an eye on the time for you and come back to you in two minutes.
You have one minute left.
You have one minute left.
You have one minute left.
Where are you resisting?
What challenges might you face on your way?
You have one minute left.
The next step on our hero's journey is slaying the dragon.
We all have one thing that we need to overcome to become the best version of ourselves.
Is it fear?
Is it limiting beliefs?
Is it lack of love for yourself?
Is it lack of self-worth or self-esteem?
Is it lack of belief in yourself?
Take two minutes.
Slay your dragon.
You have one minute left.
You have one minute left.
You have one minute left.
You have one minute left.
The last stage of our hero's journey is that metaphorical death and rebirth.
After we embark on the adventure and slay the dragon,
We are reborn anew and we return home triumphant.
Let's set our intentions together now as positive affirmations in the present tense.
How will you feel once you've slayed the dragon?
What does the you who will return home triumphant look like and feel like?
Write them all down and commit to living fully in alignment with these intentions for the coming weeks.
I'll come back to you in two minutes.
You have one minute left.
You have one minute left.
Map your journey.
Begin your quest.
Write yourself as the hero.
You have one minute left.
As always,
You can finish with a thank you and you can say it is done.
Keep your list with you for the next two weeks.
Unbrave adventurer,
Begin your quest.
Lots of love.
Talk to you soon.
