Hi friends,
Welcome to your monthly Terroscope.
This is for August 2022.
I happened to draw three cards for this month.
I had to sit with them for a while because they didn't seem to really fit together.
And as I sat and looked at the cards and waited to hear what information I was getting,
It suddenly came to me.
So the three cards I drew are the Hanged Person,
The Three of Cups,
And the Four of Wands.
Now looking at them separately,
They're very interesting.
The Hanged Person is all about this space of waiting,
Of not really doing,
But waiting.
We've got the Three of Cups,
Which is about community,
And the Four of Wands,
Which is about joy.
Those are very simple ways to put these cards.
But as I started really sitting with them,
Their meaning of how this is playing out in August really started to come through.
The Hanged Person has come up quite a bit this year,
But for the month of August,
It's a little different.
It's not just about pausing.
It's actually about surrendering.
And it's surrendering to the potential discomfort of this month.
Now whatever challenges come up for you or for others in your life,
There is a choice to resist this discomfort or to surrender to it so that you can evolve and go through it.
So it's a different kind of pause.
All at the same time,
This month is really calling in for community.
Whatever that happens to be for you,
Whether that is getting your group of friends together,
Cultivating a whole new community,
Maybe it's an online community,
Maybe it's joining a group.
It's something about bringing people together because this is what's going to activate our Four of Wands.
There's a very specific energy to the Four of Wands for the month of August.
It usually tends to be about putting work away and having fun,
But this time it feels like it's about the balance of having the discomfort of the Hanged Person and balancing that with pure joy.
I don't know about you,
But if you have ever been upside down,
Whether you're an aerialist and you're in an upside down hang,
If you're in yoga and you're doing an inversion,
If you hang out long enough,
It's really uncomfortable.
All the blood rushes to your head,
Joints,
Muscles start to tingle because the blood's rushing a whole different direction.
And in that discomfort,
Sometimes there's clarity.
Now,
A great way to get through it is if we do it together,
Which is where the Three of Cups comes in.
Finding that group.
It doesn't have to be large.
It could be a group of two,
A group of three,
Or maybe it is a large group for you.
And finding ways to have fun,
But like true fun,
The kind of laughter where you're almost like crying and peeing in your pants kind of laughter where you just let go and you're laughing so hard that your stomach hurts the next day.
So it's the balance between the two in August.
How can we surrender to the discomfort of whatever this month is bringing to us and also balancing that out with having friends,
Family,
Chosen family and being able to bring smiles on our faces.
