Settling in to whatever you are sitting or laying on and feeling into the connection that your body has established with your support system.
Feeling the gentle pressure of your body onto that which is supporting you and noticing as gravity begins to take a little more hold and you sink a little deeper and deeper into that which you are sitting or laying on.
Just letting yourself being held,
Supported,
Letting yourself just be.
From here taking this beautiful level of awareness and letting it drift towards your breath.
Noticing what has decided to show up with you today.
Not trying to change the breath,
Just observing,
Noticing how your body responds to this beautiful life-giving oxygen with each inhale and a melting away with each exhale.
You may notice a coolness in the nostrils with each in-breath and a warmth escaping the nose with each out-breath.
Noticing the gentle rise and fall of the chest and the belly,
Rhythmic,
Steady.
From here seeing,
Sensing,
Or feeling into a beautiful ball of energy forming at the chest,
Feeling into the warmth and groundedness that it provides and with each in-breath feeling how it expands into the other parts of the body,
Expanding upwards and outwards and as it does so,
Relaxing the muscles of the chest,
The shoulders,
Letting that energy expand all the way down through the arms until it reaches the fingertips and feeling this relaxing and grounding energy trickle away like raindrops onto the earth and you to the ground that is supporting you and continuing that ball of energy's expansion from the center of the chest,
Making its way downward and as it does so,
Relaxing the muscles of the upper belly,
Melting away any areas of tension as it melts down towards the hips and feeling as the base of the spine continues to melt away onto the earth and this ball of energy,
It's beautiful and grounding light,
Relaxing the muscles of the thighs,
Relaxing the knees,
All the way down to the toes and feeling this melting away,
Deeply nourished and supported in this light,
Feeling grounded and connected.
Here,
The ball of energy makes its way up from the shoulders towards the neck.
From here,
Relaxing the muscles,
The vocal cords,
The tension that is held in the neck as it continues to rise.
The jaw becomes more and more relaxed,
Melting away just as other parts of the body continue to release.
The energy continues to expand upwards and as it does,
Melting away any pockets of tension in the face,
Like the cheeks,
The temples,
The brow,
The forehead,
Feeling the tension melt away from the back of the head,
All the way up to the crown of the head and just feeling into that deep relaxation that takes over the body,
Feeling gravity pull you a little closer onto the ground,
Onto the earth beneath you,
Feeling deeply and totally in this space of openness and expansion.
We cultivate a sense of connectedness with our body,
This ability to explore the physical nature of ourselves.
We become aware of the sense of curiosity that lies within us when it comes to exploring our physical body.
We take that sense of curiosity,
Open and ready to explore an area of the body that currently holds discomfort,
Tension,
Restraint.
Ready to explore this part of us.
We know that our body contains valuable information.
It contains a message that is ready to be heard,
To expand,
To be felt and seen.
With this inner truth,
We take that inner sense of exploration and curiosity and we bring it to this area that feels discomfort.
We approach it with softness,
Without judgment.
We explore what this discomfort is bringing to us today.
Noticing where in the body it is located.
Noticing if there is a shape associated to it.
Does this space contain a color,
Even a taste?
What is the nature of this discomfort?
Does it come and go?
Or does it prefer to stay constant?
Bring as many details and characteristics to this area of discomfort as you can.
We're here to explore the nature of this space.
Becoming deeply and intimately aware of this part of your body as if you are seeing it for what it truly is right here,
Right now.
Now bringing your focus to the center,
The nucleus of the discomfort.
The place where you sense the strongest level of tightness,
Constriction.
Taking that heightened sense of intimate awareness and following it outwards.
Further and further outwards into the body where there is a subtle shift and the edges of the discomfort become blurrier and blurrier.
Where you find a shift in the edge.
Noticing the difference in sensations between the edge and the center.
And forth between intensity and relaxation.
Intensity.
Intensity.
Until there is a clear border between the two.
And taking this newly found awareness of where the discomfort begins and seeing.
Sensing.
As a small thread begins to take shape on this edge.
We begin to take this thread and pull.
And as we continue to pull at this thread,
We notice a subtle release.
The sense of heaviness begins to feel a little lighter.
We notice on the other side of this discomfort,
Another thread begins to form.
And with curiosity,
We begin to pull at that thread as well.
Releasing the once defined edges of that tension,
The discomfort,
Or heightened sensation.
We observe as these threads slowly and continuously unravel the edges of this strong sensation in our body.
And the center of this comfort,
This nucleus,
Begins to feel looser and looser.
The edges by which it was confined and defined.
And as this area begins to feel lighter,
Looser.
We notice if there are any changes in its color.
But as the threads begin to loosen their grip,
If there are any thoughts,
And in this moment,
There is nothing else to do but observe.
Being aware of what wants to be felt,
What thoughts want to be heard.
What was contained in this space that simply wanted to be held just as firmly as the ground supports you each and every day.
And as these thoughts,
Emotions,
And sensations continue to be released,
The threads pick up speed,
Unraveling a little faster as they get closer to the center of the discomfort.
As the threads get as close as possible to the center,
The edges of this comfort become blurrier.
The center is reached.
But before the thread is fully dissolved,
There is one thing.
At this part of the body,
The threads slow down enough so that you can fully integrate the message.
As the center of this comfort begins to fully unravel,
Tension to the message that this part of the body has for you today.
With a message fully received,
Beginning from the center of this space spreading outwards,
Upwards,
Into every cell,
Every part of you.
And as you receive and integrate this message,
The center fully unravels.
And the edges are no more.
You feel into the expansiveness of this space now.
Feeling to the sensations of the rest of the body.
Each part of you,
Each cell,
Carrying the integrated message that this part of the body had for you.
Carrying the wisdom your body had for you today.
And feeling into that support that you carry with you each day.
In this moment,
Taking your hands if you're able to,
And place newly ignited area of expansion within your body.
Taking a deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Compassion and understanding in this area of your body.
