Hey everybody,
Thank you,
Welcome.
So today's session is designed to help you release that foggy feeling,
The low energy,
Distraction and help you reconnect to your focus and vitality.
We're going to be using tapping to activate your energy system and we'll be here for around 15-20 minutes today.
I don't know how many people are familiar with EFT and tapping but it's very simple.
If you're new to it EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique.
It's a body-based method where we gently tap on specific acupressure points in the body to calm the nervous system.
It regulates the nervous system and brings us back into this parasympathetic state.
And it can also help shift energy and release unhelpful patterns and of course shift stuck emotions as well that we don't let up and out.
So it can really help us to shift physically,
Mentally and emotionally.
So it's kind of like if you think about it like acupuncture but without the needles and it's backed by clinical research including growing studies showing improvements in energy,
Focus and performance.
So I'm going to guide you all the way through.
You do not need to worry if you've not done it before.
So depending on where you're listening today,
I know when I first started tapping.
I would often be commuting or at work or somewhere that I didn't want anyone to know what I was doing so I would tap quietly.
You can say the words in your mind if this is easier.
If you're somewhere safe where you can speak freely,
Absolutely say the words out loud.
Whatever feels good to you.
So we're going to start by getting present.
Just bring your hands to your body.
You can place one hand on your chest and the other on your belly if that feels good.
And take a deep breath in through your nose.
And sigh it out through your mouth.
Again in through the nose.
And out through the mouth.
Just let your shoulders soften.
Feel your feet on the floor.
Notice the support underneath you.
And tune in.
How are you feeling right now?
If your energy was a number between 0 and 10,
Where would it be?
And just notice that.
No judgement.
So 10 would be I've got loads of energy,
I can absolutely get through the rest of today and I've got tons of energy for the rest of this week.
Or maybe you're like a 2 and you just feel like flat.
Bit sluggish.
Bit foggy.
And that's OK.
We can meet you wherever you're at right now.
And if you want,
You can set a little intention for this session,
Something like.
.
.
I want to feel more awake.
We're alive.
I want to be able to focus on what's important and not listen to all the noise.
Or I want to feel alive and present.
So we'll start tapping.
We're going to start tapping on the side of the hand.
This is where we do our setup statement.
I will say a few words and I'll leave a pause.
You can repeat after me and then I'll keep going.
So we'll start here.
Even though I feel flat and distracted right now.
I honour how I feel and I give myself permission to shift.
Even though my mind feels cloudy and I can't focus.
I accept myself and how I'm feeling.
Even though my energy is low.
And I'm not sure how to get going.
I'm open to the possibility of feeling clear and energized.
Okay now we're going to tap through the rounds so I will call out the placement where we're tapping.
As I move through.
We start with the eyebrow and you can do it with both hands or you can do it with one hand or the other hand.
Our meridian lines,
Our energy lines,
Go up and down the body on both sides so you're going to hit it.
My mind feels cloudy.
Side of eye.
I feel so unfocused.
Under the eye.
It's like there's a wall between me and what I need to do.
Under the nose.
I just don't have the energy.
The chin.
I feel unmotivated.
Hollaback!
So here on the collarbone,
Anyone who's not done this before,
You actually go along the bone to the end knobbly points,
Down an inch,
Out an inch,
And it's actually the soft part just underneath that we're tapping on.
It's a collarbone.
My brain won't switch on.
Under the arm.
This is right at the top where your bra strap is or four fingers underneath the armpit.
I feel stuck and tired.
Top of the head.
I just want to lie down.
Eyebrow.
There's too much to do and I don't know where to start.
Side of the eye.
I keep procrastinating.
Under the eye,
My thoughts are racing but going nowhere.
Under the nose.
My body feels heavy.
On the chin.
I'm not in the mood to be productive today.
Collarbone.
It's hard to even care today.
End of the arm.
I've got nothing left in the tank.
Of their head and I'm frustrated with myself.
So as I'm tapping through,
If any words come to mind that resonate with you more,
Please just use your own,
Omit mine,
Throw your own in.
Okay,
Back to the eyebrow.
What's wrong with me?
Side of the eye.
Why can't I just get going?
Under the eye.
I hate feeling like this.
Under the nose and now I'm beating myself up about it.
On the chin.
I'm tired of being tired.
The collarbone.
This lack of focus is really draining.
Under the arm.
I don't know how to shift this.
Top of the head and I feel like I'm dragging myself through the day.
Okay,
Let's take a pause here,
Take a deep breath.
Ah,
Release.
And just check in with yourself.
Has anything shifted?
Have any more thoughts come to the surface?
What do you notice in your body?
What kind of emotions are coming up for you?
Sometimes when we start shining a spotlight on it,
It can actually start to go up.
So whatever your rating was to begin with.
It may have gone down,
But it also could have just gone up.
Sometimes it does,
Sometimes it gets more intense before it settles and that's all okay.
All answers are good.
So keep going.
Let's go eyebrow.
Maybe it's okay to feel this way sometimes.
Side of I.
I've been carrying so much.
Under the eye.
What if this tiredness is just my system asking for a rest?
Under the nose.
What if I don't have to fight this feeling?
The chin.
What if I could allow it and still feel okay?
The collarbone.
I'm open to the idea that this fog can lift.
Under the arm.
What if my energy is just beneath the surface?
I love that picture.
Animals love the energy.
Top of the head.
What if I could tap into it right now?
Back to the eyebrow.
What if I don't have to be on to move forward?
Bye-bye.
What if clarity can come gently?
I don't have to force it.
Under the eye.
What if my body already knows how to reset?
Under the nose.
What if focus is more about flow than force?
The chin.
What if I'm making this harder than it needs to be?
Collarbone.
And my resistance is keeping it locked in.
That's a very key line there.
A resistance to feeling energy,
To feeling emotions is what holds it there.
Imagine it's like trying to hold a balloon filled with air underwater.
It just wants to come up and out.
And it can be really really hard to keep pushing it down and holding it down under water but if we just allow it to be and let it up and out It will pass.
And it takes 90 seconds for an emotion to move through us.
Underarm.
I'm open to allowing a shift.
Top of the head.
What if I could feel focused and energized today?
To the eyebrow.
I'm open to feeling different.
Side of eye.
I'm open to even the smallest shift.
Under the eye.
I'm open to letting this fog lift.
Under the nose.
I'm open to clarity returning.
Chin.
I'm open to finding my focus again.
Add it once,
I can get it back.
Collarbone.
I'm open to letting go of this heaviness.
Under the arm.
I'm open to feeling energized.
Top of the head.
I'm open to allowing more ease and flow into my day.
Okay,
Let's take another pause.
And just note where you were.
How do you feel now?
How's your body feeling?
Is it tingling?
You feel the energy moving.
What do you notice?
Just be aware of it.
Okay,
We're going to keep going and we're just going to start shifting into a more positive state now.
Eyebrow.
I'm remembering who I am.
Side of the eye.
I have access to energy.
Under the eye and I know that my mind can focus.
Under the nose.
And that I can find more energy within me.
The chin.
I'm starting to feel a little clearer.
The collarbone and I can feel the energy flowing through me.
Under the arm.
I'm feeling more focused.
Top of the head.
And I think I'm ready to move forwards.
Back to the eyebrow.
I am enough,
Just as I am.
Side of I.
I'm only human and that's okay.
Under the eye.
My best is good enough.
Under the nose.
I don't need to be perfect to move forward.
The chin.
I can show up just as I am.
Collarbone.
It's okay to take things one step at a time.
Under the arm.
I'm choosing to treat myself with compassion.
Top of the head.
I am still worthy of rest.
And maybe I can be motivated to.
Okay,
Back to the eyebrow.
I feel clearer now.
Side of the eye.
Feel more awake.
Under the eye.
I feel grounded.
The nose.
I feel alive.
On the chin.
I feel capable.
Collarbone.
I think I've shifted my state.
I feel more focused and ready.
I'm just going to go back here.
I'm just going to stay on the collarbone for a moment because there's a few words that we said earlier.
That feel like they're worthy of saying again.
So just tapping here on the collarbone.
I'm only human and that's okay.
My best is good enough.
And I am enough.
Just as I am.
Okay,
Stop tapping,
Take a deep breath.
And release.
One more.
