Can't switch off? Body exhausted but mind still going? This CBT sleep story uses progressive muscle relaxation and sensory grounding - evidence-based techniques that help your body lead your mind toward rest. When the body lets go, the mind follows. Tonight you're in Norway. Deep winter. A small wooden cabin in a snow-covered valley. A birch log fire burning low in the grate. Outside, snow has been falling since mid-afternoon - silently, straight down. Pine trees carry it on their branches. A frozen river on the valley floor. An elk at the treeline, still as a painting. You don't have to chase sleep tonight. It's already on its way. Suitable for anxiety, insomnia, overthinking, and burnout. I'm Rebecca, a BABCP-Accredited CBT Therapist specialising in sleep, anxiety, and burnout. Part of a growing series of CBT-informed sleep stories, each set in a different location around the world.
