Still tired but wired? Mind still running even though your body is exhausted? This CBT sleep story uses safety and containment - an evidence-based technique helping an overactive mind recognise that right now, you are not in danger. You are simply alive and awake. Your body already knows how to do the rest. Tonight you're at the edge of the Sahara. Southern Morocco. Brass lanterns in the still air above you. The dunes silver and silent in the starlight. The Milky Way crossing the sky from one horizon to the other - dense, luminous, ancient. The desert doesn't try to be silent. It simply is. Your body doesn't need to be forced into sleep. It needs only to be allowed. Suitable for anxiety, insomnia, overthinking, and burnout. I'm Rebecca, a BABCP-Accredited CBT Therapist specialising in sleep, anxiety, and burnout. Part of a growing series of CBT-informed sleep story, each set in a different location around the world.
