Take a moment now to settle in,

Let the outside world soften,

Let your shoulders drop,

And begin by bringing your awareness to your breath.

Inhale slow and deep,

All the way down into your belly.

Feel it rise like a wave,

And exhale even slower,

As if your breath is brushing the edge of the world.

Again,

Inhale full,

Gentle,

And low,

Exhaling long,

Smooth,

And soft.

Let your breath guide you on a journey now,

A sensory adventure,

Where your body remembers and your soul comes alive.

Listen,

Birdsong in the trees,

The soft hush of waves kissing the shore,

Let these sounds ripple through you,

Feel how your breath moves with them,

Rising,

Falling,

Like nature's quiet rhythm.

Inhale deeply now,

And smell the air,

Alive with the sweetness of a blooming peony.

It's delicate,

Floral,

Familiar.

Let the memory of that scent settle gently in your chest,

And exhale slowly.

You are here,

You are safe.

Breathe in again,

This time feel.

Your hand moves gently through memory,

Petting the soft fur of your childhood companion.

Can you feel it?

The warmth,

The kindness in that softness,

It brings a peace that words can't hold.

Exhale that breath with tenderness,

That feeling is still with you.

Now,

Inhale once more,

Taste a piece of your favorite candy melting on your tongue,

Or the crisp clarity of ice-cold water after a summer hike.

Let the sensation awaken your aliveness,

Let your breath linger here,

In this place of simple joy.

And now,

See,

See with the full power of your mind's eye,

A far-off sunset stretched wide across the sea,

The sky glowing golden from east to west,

Light dancing on the water,

As if the whole world is holding its breath in awe.

Let that image land in you.

Hold it,

Just for a moment longer.

And now return,

Gently,

To your breath.

Inhale,

Feel how it connects you to every wonder you just touched.

And with the exhale,

Feel how it carries you between worlds.

Your breath is the bridge between every sensation,

Every memory,

Every possibility.

It connects you to the beauty around you,

To the stillness within you,

To the miracle of being alive.

Take a final,

Full breath,

And let yourself feel it.

The calm,

The beauty,

The simple miracle of this moment.

And when it feels right,

Come back,

Still connected to it all.
