Join us for The Courageously Playful Woman's Retreat, a five-night, immersive, wellness experience in Italy. Designed for women who want to reconnect with the part of themselves that they've neglected: your joy, your creativity, your playfulness, and your ability to live in the moment without needing to achieve something to feel worthy. You give so much. When was the last time you let yourself receive and fully rest? You show up for everyone. Family, friends, work, the people who need you. You're the one who holds it together, who handles it, who figures it out. But somewhere along the way, you stopped being on that list. Maybe you... - Take care of everyone, but rarely let anyone take care of you - Feel like you have to earn rest instead of simply needing it - Have a hard time saying no, even when you are stretched too thin - Have tried meditation apps, weekend getaways, even "self-care Sundays," only to feel like they don't truly make a difference Our wellness retreat in Italy is an ideal setting with expert support to guide you towards joy and meaningful change. Hosted by a licensed therapist and somatic coach, you’ll be gently guided to release perfectionism, tend to the parts of you that give endlessly, and reconnect with the joy and spaciousness of simply being. Through a unique combination of beginner friendly somatic healing practices, creative exploration, playful activities, and inner child work, this retreat is designed to help you: - Let go of perfectionism and reclaim your right to rest and play. - Heal the wounds of your inner child, allowing you to feel lighter and more at peace. - Reconnect with your body and emotions in a nurturing, supportive environment. - Create lasting shifts in the way you approach life, work, and relationships. We move gently here. Nothing is forced. Everything is offered as an invitation. It’s time to stop just surviving and start playing again. What makes The Courageously Playful Retreat special? - Inner Child & Parts Work: Guided sessions to reconnect with the parts of you that learned to overachieve to feel safe or worthy. - Expressive Arts: Drawing, painting, writing, and visual journaling to give voice to your inner world and create new pathways for expression and integration.. - Profession Photographer On Site: Put your phone down, be present, and soak in the experience. A professional photographer, will capture the magic of your retreat, and you'll leave with 2-5 professional shots of your personal retreat experience to treasure forever. - Hands-On Cooking Experience: Learn to make traditional Puglian orecchiette by hand. A sensory, unhurried experience that ends with a homemade meal shared together. - Beach Excursion: A full day on Puglia's coastline, where white sand meets turquoise water. Relax, swim, and reconnect with rest and simple joy. - Trauma-Informed Somatic Practices: Daily yoga, breathwork, meditation, and nervous-system regulation that help you settle, feel, and soften. - Nature & Awe: Immerse yourself in the timeless beauty of Puglia's countryside. Wander among centuries-old olive groves, savor the quiet of the vineyard, lounge by the pool, and soak in the slow rhythms of Southern Italy. - Slow, Nourishing Connection: Ample time for reflection, rest, and heartfelt conversation with women who get it.

Testimonials

info

“This retreat cracked me open in the best way. I’ve never felt so held—by a space, by a person, by a group of women. Dez was one of the kindest, most grounded, safe humans I’ve ever met. She created a safe container for all of us. For our emotions, our stories, our silence, our tears, our joy. I felt deeply seen without even having to say a word. And when I did speak, there was no judgment—just love. Deep, real love.”

"Before the retreat I was told it would be life changing, and I didn't really understand how, but now on the other side I can confirm that it is in fact so very life changing. From the community built of lifelong connection and friendships to the new experiences it was absolutely life changing. I have never felt so seen, safe, and at peace - I truly unclenched my entire body for the first time in a LONG time. It was the perfect balance of content and adventure."

Anonymous Guest, USA

“I felt truly seen, held, known, and appreciated. Maybe more so than ever before in my life because it was from a group of strangers, which totally healed me. I left feeling really sad, but equally grateful. What shifted for me was that now I have proof /evidence that this kind of healing/safety is real and possible for me."

Anonymous Guest, USA

“As a busy mom managing a family of four, a household of six, a corporate fortune 500 job, and various other commitments, 1 was on the verge of burnout and mentally exhausted. This retreat revitalized me in ways l am still discovering weeks after my return. Braving all the physical, mental, and spiritual barriers was completely worth it! As a reward, I got the opportunity for incredible healing, sisterhood, therapeutic breakthrough, and joy."

Anonymous Guest, USA

"This retreat blew me away! I feel like I was able to reconnect with my inner child and true self; parts of myself that I have not paid attention to in a long time. That was such a gift that brought me joy through play and community. Dez was able to offer a safe place to be vulnerable that allowed connection and healing. I was not expecting how powerful the work we did together would be. My nervousness of meeting strangers in a new international city faded quickly. I was met with warmth and care. I am so appreciative of this experience, the woman I met, and Dez's expertise."
