Join us over the bank holiday weekend for some self-exploration and connection. With meditation as the focus, the invitation of this retreat is to slow down and gently turn towards your own present-moment experience with curiosity and kindness. Eden Rise is located two miles West of Totnes market town in the tranquil Devon countryside. Managed by the Network of Wellbeing charity, the venue accommodates wellbeing-related residential retreats and workshops, hiring out the whole venue as well as facilitating their own events. Compact and cosy, this tranquil property includes; two large bright workshop spaces that open out to the sunny back terrace, sleeping quarters located on either side of the barns with single (and a few small double) beds, two secluded bell tents from May-Sept, ample shower and toilet facilities, well equipped large ground floor kitchen/dining area opening onto the sheltered garden with fire pit, plenty of outdoor garden seating areas, on-site car park and a separate woodburning sauna facility.

Eden Rise is managed by the Network of Wellbeing charity and consists of two converted barns in the lovely Devon countryside located a few miles outside of Totnes. The rooms are simple and comfortable with most having doors to the courtyard garden or upper terrace. All the bathrooms are shared. The building runs on solar and green energy suppliers, provides fresh filtered water from an onsite borehole, has underfloor heating throughout and uses sustainable and eco-products.

Our retreat chef Kirstie will be providing 3 delicious, healthy and wholesome vegan meals per day. She has been catering for retreats for the past 20 years. Where possible she cooks with local and organic foods. Here is a sample menu for 1 day: Breakfast - buffet style - oats for porridge (ready to be cooked), muesli, bread (gluten free), butter (vegan), jam, boiled eggs, fruit - plant based milks. Lunch - carrot, coriander and lentil soup, green salad, toasted tamari seeds, sprouts, potato salad. Dinner - Thai Green curry with brown rice and green salad. Dietary restrictions and needs are catered for.

Schedule

This is a 3 night, 4 day retreat with arrival at 5pm on Friday 2nd May. Each day will start at 7.30am with gentle yoga, then after breakfast we'll move into meditation and inner work for 2 sessions during the day. You have free-time each day where you are welcome to explore the 7 acres of land which has a labyrinth on, use the sauna or connect with other like-minded retreatants in the lounge. Each evening there are special activities including a kirtan and a fire ceremony. We'll finish the retreat with a Dance Meditation on Monday 5th May departing at 3.30pm.

  • This retreat is designed for curious ones, the inner-explorers, those who are sincere and keen to engage in meditation, self-enquiry and inner work.

  • It matters not whether you are new to meditation it is the attitude and willingness to explore your experience that is of most value.

  • This is an explorative and introspective event. If you have psychiatric conditions, mental illness, strong emotional challenges or are not sure whether you have the capacity, self-regulation tools and capabilities in place that may be required we advise you not to book.

Cancellation policy

The remaining balance for the retreat is due 90 days prior to the start date. If this balance is paid earlier than these 90 days, you are eligible to cancel and receive a full refund of this remaining balance, provided you do so at least 90 days before the retreat begins.
