Welcome,

I'm Joanne.

I invite you to dedicate this time to yourself for rest and rejuvenation.

Before we begin this journey to deep sleep,

Take a moment and adjust your bedsheets and any clothing you have on.

Make sure the room is dark and tuck away any electronic devices so you won't be disturbed.

Take a comfortable position.

You may wish to lay on your back,

With your arms by your sides,

Palms turned upward,

Your legs a bit wider than your hips,

With feet loosely falling to the sides.

If lying on your back brings pain or discomfort,

You may choose any position and make any adjustments needed that will bring comfort to your body.

Relax your jaw and keep your lips gently pressed together.

Relax your eyebrows and the space between them.

Relax your forehead.

Gently wiggle your toes and fingers and relax them.

Now that you're comfortable and free of distractions,

You're ready to enter the last cycle of the day,

Deep rest.

Feel your eyelids as they get heavier.

Your gaze is soft and steady,

Your eyelids blinking slower and slower until they give way to the heaviness and fully close.

Set an intention for this process.

Internally repeat after me.

I will prepare myself for deep sleep and I will consciously and peacefully fall into a deep,

Relaxed sleep.

You're in your bed.

It's the end of the day.

You did well today,

Dear one.

You did all that you could do.

And there's nothing more you need to do.

Feel the softness of your sheets.

So comfy.

A gentle smile on your face.

The day has come to an end and you can now rest.

Allow yourself to relax.

Take a deep inhale and with the exhale,

Let go of today.

Feel how every inch of your body is letting go.

Let go of all that happened today,

Good or bad.

Just let it go.

It's just you now.

You and your fantastic body.

This vehicle that allows you to experience life here on earth.

Take another inhale.

Open your mouth and exhale.

Let everything go through your out-breath.

It's just you here in your cozy bed.

Focus your attention on the small part of your face above the upper lip and below the nose.

Feel your gentle breath here.

Feel the coolness on the inhale and the warmth on the exhale.

Don't control your breathing.

There's no need to control anything now.

Just feel your breath.

Whatever thought comes to you,

Let it go.

Your breath is the only thing that matters now.

You are the only one that matters now.

Observe your breath flow at its own pace.

With the exhalation,

Let go of the tension.

Let go of the stress.

Feel your entire body soften.

Allow your body to let go.

Feel your body's weight on your bed.

It's so comforting to feel your body is safe.

It serves you well.

Your body is a trusted ally.

Let it rest now.

Allow your whole body to relax.

Let go of the tension in your jaw and forehead.

With awareness,

Relax the entire body.

It's beautiful to feel your body fully at ease.

It has been working hard all day and it deserves to rest and rejuvenate.

Now imagine a feather,

Light golden feather.

It hovers above your forehead.

And with gentle strokes,

It removes remnants of the day.

When you're ready,

Feel its light touch upon your temples.

Gentle strokes,

So soft,

Almost like a breeze caressing your temples and eyelids.

Caressing your eyebrows and the space between them.

Notice the feather on your cheeks now.

Feel all the tension fade away.

Loosen your lips and feel the golden strokes in between them.

Relax your upper jaw.

Relax your lower jaw.

As the soft feather lightly touches your chin,

A light sprinkling of golden dust spreads down your neck,

Releasing the tightness all the way to your shoulders.

Feel the weight of the day taken off of your shoulders.

With each stroke,

A stream of golden dust remains on your body.

It's warm and tingly.

It feels so safe and gentle.

It caresses your body with a feeling of ease and comfort.

See the feather lightly stroking on your chest,

Taking away the heaviness.

See the tiny golden particles.

As your breath moves,

These particles flow into your chest,

Slowly swirling and dancing as they fill your heart with joy and love.

Feel the feather on your abdomen,

Resting gently on your soft belly.

Feel the comfort and ease.

The shimmering dust sifts down through your navel and settles into the muscles of the back,

Relaxing and softening.

The golden particles are going down your arms now,

Releasing all the tension.

Feel your arms melt.

Your chest is calm.

Your breathing is gentle.

Your belly is soft,

And your back cushioned with golden padding.

As the feather lowers to your hips,

You feel the easiness.

Your bones and muscles do so much work,

They deserve to rest.

Melt your hips down.

Let your tender feather take all the tension away,

Leaving just the golden dust.

Allow your body to relax.

Prepare your body for deep sleep.

Thank your body for everything it does for you.

Your beautiful,

Miraculous body.

Notice the feather on your right leg.

It brushes softly over your right thigh,

Your tissue intertwined with golden threads.

Feel your right knee supported by a web of golden threads.

You can relax now.

Let go of control.

Feel the feather brush off the remaining weariness from your right foot.

Now notice the feather on your left thigh.

Its gentle strokes brush off the day.

Feel your left knee supported and relaxed.

Your left leg fills up with fine golden powder,

And your left foot rests.

Your entire body is covered in golden dust.

Your body feels light and so relaxed.

Your mind is quiet and still,

Prepared and ready for sleep.

Resting in comfort and safety,

All you have to do is let go just a little more.

Let go and allow your consciousness to fade and embrace the energy of sleep.

Let it surround you.

Let it carry you.

As you drift off into a peaceful and restful sleep.

You are safe dear one,

And all is well.

Sweet dreams.
