Welcome,
Dear one.
Let's connect with your breath without changing it.
Simply place your awareness on this breath,
Which is unfolding in each moment.
You might feel your shoulders drop or some other sensation as you tune into your breath.
Then feel into wherever your body is making contact with the surface.
This may be the bottoms of your feet,
Your seat,
Somewhere else.
Can you feel that contact?
As we sense below us,
We remember the earth is holding us,
Supporting us,
And as you sense into this contact,
Can you still feel yourself breathing?
We remember that this air is the same air absorbed by mushrooms,
Released from trees and ferns,
The same air entering the lungs of birds and deer,
Entering ladybugs through tiny tubes on the sides of their bodies.
And as we're connected with our breath and our grounding,
We turn up now towards the skies,
The stars.
And I invite you to imagine a gentle rain of light coming down from the top of your head.
It comes and releases other people's energy,
Concerns from before,
Washes away gently anything that's ready to release.
This rain of light continues coming down slowly through your heart center,
Down your arms,
Your middle,
Down your legs,
And out the bottoms of your feet into the earth,
Where we ask the great mother to transmute and compost these denser energies into fertile new life.
If there's any part of your body or area that wants your attention,
Go ahead and breathe into it.
Perhaps it wants another rinse,
A light of a certain color,
Or simply for you to listen.
Trust your intuition.
And finally,
We ask the great mother to replenish our system,
To send up earth energy from our roots.
Feel this fresh energy arise from your feet,
Up your legs,
As it fills your body and aura with grounded,
Strong,
Nourishing energy,
Fresh in this very moment.
And notice what it feels like in your system.
You can stay here as long as you'd like,
Return as often as you'd like.
And thank you for being here,
For choosing to create this moment with your spirit and the great mother and her web.
Know that you are growing a practice which matters more deeply than I can convey in words.
A simple five-minute check-in as you transition throughout the day is so powerful.
Go well into your day.
