Begin closing your eyes and finding a comfortable resting position.

You can sit,

Lie down,

Or stand.

Begin to connect with your body.

Feel your hands,

Your feet,

Your legs,

Your arms,

And the weight of your head.

How does your body feel in this moment?

Can you begin to release your muscles and relax into this space?

Begin to feel the air around you.

How does the air feel?

What is the temperature where you are resting?

Start to feel the temperature drop,

Maybe 10 degrees,

Then another 10 degrees,

Until you begin to feel you are outside in the dead of winter.

How does this feel in your body?

Where does the sensation of temperature first arise into your body?

Take a moment and just feel the cold air on your body.

As you settle into this temperature,

Bring forward anything you might want or need to find comfort.

Now start to bring forward the vision of snow-covered forest.

What do you see?

Where did your mind take you?

Do you see the mist of the snow clouds,

The snow-covered trees and soya,

The sun reflecting off the snow?

Now what do you begin to hear?

The birds chirping,

The sound of snow falling to the ground,

The break and the crack of the branches under the weight of the snow soak in this moment.

Where does this moment resonate in your body?

What sensations begin to arise?

Now I invite you to pick up the snow.

How does it feel in your hands?

Now slowly become one with the snow in your hands,

Beginning to embody those light qualities and ability to form and fall covering everything with ease,

Stillness and your glowing light.

You are beginning to radiate your light from within.

Your surroundings become still,

Slowing down and embracing your light.

Now begin to ask this version of yourself,

Where in your life do you radiate this light?

Taking a moment for this to come forward.

Do you connect with this piece of yourself often?

When was the last time you connected to it?

Take your time calling to remember this.

If nothing is coming forward,

Can you call to remember a moment in your life that let you up or a vision you hold in your heart that lights you up?

How did you feel in that moment?

Can you now begin to bring that which lights you up into your life more?

Ask the snow,

What steps can I take to connect with this sensation more?

Once you have received your answer,

Slowly coming back to the feeling of the snow in your hands,

The lightness you caught in,

You are now holding it.

Does it feel different from when you first held the snow?

Do you handle it differently?

Think the snow and place it back on the earth now.

Slowly beginning to find the warmth in your body and returning to your body.

Take a deep breath and begin coming up when you feel ready.

This felt like a meditation of surrender and being at peace with the winter and where I’m at right here and now. The piano in the background is beautiful.

Wow. In the hot tub that came with new our home during our first significant snowfall since we have lived here, and I felt compelled to listen a second time as the snow fell heavy around me in this present moment. Thank you so much for the beautiful meditation ❄🙏
