This is a brief guided imagery practice you can use to reset and ground throughout the day. This mediation is designed to help you reregulate when you are feeling emotionally triggered, anxious, or overwhelmed.

Find a comfortable position,

Either seated or lying down.

You can put your feet flat on the floor,

Back straight,

And close your eyes when you're ready.

Take some nice deep breaths into your belly and out.

Filling your body up and letting it go.

And just checking in with yourself.

Noticing if there's any tightness anywhere in your body.

Noticing if there's any emotions that are coming up.

And noticing how these can rise and fall,

Just like waves on the ocean.

As you breathe in,

See roots coming out of your feet,

Anchoring you into the ground.

These roots are going straight down into the ground,

Deep into the center of the earth,

Anchoring you and holding you there.

Now as you breathe in,

See these roots coming up,

Energy coming up the roots,

Up through the ground,

Up to your feet,

Filling your toes,

Your feet,

Your ankles.

This energy is warm,

It's safe,

It's supportive.

See this energy moving up through your legs,

Your knees,

Your hips.

As you breathe out,

It's getting brighter and stronger.

Maybe this energy has a color.

You can feel it as it moves up your body.

As you breathe in,

It's filling your belly and your chest.

As you breathe out,

It's getting brighter and stronger.

As you breathe in,

It's moving down your arms and your hands.

And as you breathe out,

It's expanding and extending out your fingertips.

Just envision how it feels to be filling up with this energy.

As you breathe in,

It's moving up your neck and your head.

And as you breathe out,

It's broadening and expanding.

Feel how it feels to be filled with this energy.

This energy is safe.

This energy is helping you to feel grounded and supported.

It's okay for emotions to come up and fall away.

It's okay to experience whatever you're experiencing and to let it go,

Remembering that this too shall pass.

Take another deep breath in,

Feeling this warm,

Supportive energy and how safe you are in this space.

Take one more deep breath in here.

And when you're ready,

You can open your eyes.

I absolutely love this kind of grounding meditation. I feel grounded & yet energized at the same time. I am doing study on the sacral chakra this week so instead of my feet I imagined the roots going from there. Very very powerful. Thanks tons!!!
