Hello and welcome to the Neshama Project podcast where we explore spiritual tools for human thriving.
This week we're going to continue our exploration of the idea of the Or HaGanuz,
The hidden inner light of consciousness and awareness that is inside each one of us in honor of the Hebrew month of Kislev which contains the holiday of Hanukkah where we cultivate inner light.
Today I would like to present a guided meditation on the Or HaGanuz,
The hidden inner light that is inside each one of us that connects us to the infinite,
To awareness.
To begin this meditation find a comfortable seated position with your back straight and your eyes closed.
Take a few deep breaths allowing yourself to become present in this moment.
As you become aware of your breath imagine a soft white light filling your body starting at the crown of your head and moving down to your toes.
This light represents the Or HaGanuz,
The hidden inner light of consciousness and awareness.
As you continue to breathe imagine this light growing brighter and brighter filling every corner of your body.
As it grows allow yourself to become more and more aware of your surroundings,
Of the sensations in your body,
And of your thoughts and emotions.
As you continue to focus on this light allow yourself to let go of any worries or concerns.
Be aware of your worries and concerns.
Don't push them away but don't grasp onto them either.
Just be aware of them.
Let the light of awareness,
The Or HaGanuz,
Shine and allow these worries and concerns to simply float away.
Simply allow yourself to be present in the moment,
Fully aware of the light within you.
As you continue to meditate you may notice that your awareness begins to expand beyond your body.
Allow yourself to become aware of the world around you,
Of the people and things that exist outside of yourself.
As you do this continue to focus on the light within you allowing it to guide your awareness and consciousness.
As you continue to meditate you may notice that your sense of self begins to shift and change.
Allow yourself to let go of any fixed ideas of who you are and allow yourself to simply be in the present moment,
Fully aware and present.
As you come to the end of this meditation take a few moments to simply be present with the light within you.
Allow yourself to feel gratitude and appreciation for this light and for the awareness and consciousness it brings.
When you are ready slowly open your eyes and return to the world around you bringing the light of Or HaGanuz with you.
Thank you for joining me today this has been the Neshama Project podcast,
